And your countdown is in the TEENS!! omg.  wooooo!

Are you all packed Josy?   What do people actually do in Disneyworld?

Semi-exciting and strangely coincidental news of the day: I got a call from my friend early this morning that Phantom is coming and she bought us tickets.  Hooray!

Whenever I say I'm going to read, its an idle threat.  I rarely ever do it.  I can read Patricia Cornwell books and Elizabeth Young books and thats about it. If you need a wonderful love story, but not too corny book to read, you must read A Promising Man by Elizabeth Young.

Oh and PUBS AND BOOZE!

HAHA! I often freak out in public sometimes, just so I have *someone* to share the joy with (like when I found Yuengling beer in the stores here for the first time ever!) My students are also frequent witnesses to some of my freak outs (even though they don't always know what they're for!)

Just popped in to see if anyone had mentioned pubs and booze yet and....OMG I have an opinion on a subject I know a bit about I Fee...

Well I have to tell you before I burst "I went to the pub last night and who should be propping up the bar but the Phantom of the Opera (Erik) talking to Colin Firth (who plays Jamie) about going to Disneyworld on a train because he loves trains but was gutted because he was supposed to go with Christine but shes gone and bought a beautiful dress and piss TOFF with a bloke called Raoul to England and he can't even say Eh Up Ow at! proper?" Well Colin was all "look Erik ya daft git it must be love, actually or surely she'd have packed her knickers and gone with you cos she knows all the veggie soup and dips on the train to disneyworld are so good"
Well who should walk in then but Gavin and Stacey who had just been to Chipolte for tea and were moaning about a friend who is in an LDR and has a large DVD collection she wants to take to England but are wrong region and has just been denied a visa because she's spent all her money on Strongbow Cider?

Well....I could go on but Im sure your getting bored with all this so I will have to tell you the rest later

hahaha

Although.. I have to thank Alan for reminding me to go buy Strongbow tonight to take to Thanksgiving!!  My trusty companion that will get me through the day.  Oh, and I have decided to play a little game and that every 3rd person who asks me tomorrow "when are you getting married" is going to get punched in the face!!... er.. at least I will visual punching them in the face... thats a little more in the holiday spirit.

Carey! That sounds like a great game! ;D

Josy- I know!! I was in Philly this time last year drinking it in fact (did the Philly Half Marathon). They just FINALLY started allowing it to be sold in GA. I saw a Yuengling delivery truck today while I was out, too. I honked and thumbs upped him as I went by! LOL

Oh and I had a lovely Bridget Jones moment sans Colin Firth (or Hugh Grant) while walking around downtown Atlanta just now. I parked my car at the nearby mall to save on parking and walked down to the hotel where we had to pick up our race numbers for the race I'm doing tomorrow morning. Well, it was a nice day, so I left my coat in the car. Got my number, walked around for a bit, tried to take a couple of 365 pics, walked out of the posh hotel, across the street to a sandwich shop. ordered and was going to sit down when the waiter came over.... he said "I don't know if you're aware, but you have a huge hole in your pants (trousers!)" Um, no. I didn't! Luckily I wasn't really feeling embarrassed, just grateful he had the niceness to tell me! It just made me wonder when they actually ripped?? I went to a student's house to tutor this morning, then to the bank, where I ran into a coworker from school, then to the race expo.... my running shop boss was at the expo! I saw him, but he was talking to a customer so he may not have seen me. Who knows!

Lovely, eh? I'm actually just more pissed off that my *trousers* are ruined. :(

Alan- great summary!!

wow Carey what a way to bring the holidays home...by beating your family lol...but I know what you mean about everyone asking you the same questions over and over...when I was going over to stay with Jason for the first time in 2006 for a few months to see if we could live together and see if I liked the town..One of my co workers point blank asked me if I had ever met Jason...(of all the stupid questions and I have heard them all) I told her no I was just taking a chance lol

That is right I remember you saying about your half marathon Beth...Hey Beth were you wearing your "tiger print pants" ala Bridgette lol

Well my vacation has officially started woohoooo...they let me leave work early today...I left at about 2:30 and I don't have to go back to work till next Friday...woohooo

I hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving...I think everyone on this thread is probably celebrating it but Alan...so Alan have fun at the pub drinking booze and crying lol

When I moved to MI for a summer, I took a case along. Guess what I'll be attempting to have shipped to the UK when I move? :D

I think you're right. I like to just point at it with out-of-towners and ask "how do you pronounce this?"  also Manayunk is a good one.  Especially *after* Conch.

Boy, do I feel out of the loop...

...but thankfully there was a summary. :p

Sorry!  Had a bit of a medical problem there the past few weeks.  Will be fine though.  I actually feel normal again, so I rememeber "Oh, crap!  My UKY ladies!"

And now tomorrow is Thanksgiving.  Is it Christmas yet?  I want Christmas....and Love Actually....and my fiance to be here...lol.

Hope you're all well, ladies!  I will no longer be a stranger.
