Carey...that is what we are here for so you don't become Debbie Downer...we are here so we can all vent to each other and get support...we are here to laugh at each others jokes and listen to our life stories...we are here for you lady...and we are on your side...let us know what they say...Think England...when you are over there with David you will be away from this stress and you will just have time to be with him...and I don't think you will be depressed while over there...how can you be when you are with the man you love.

Patty you are allowed to be selfish....you are happy Ian doesn't have a tumor but you were looking forward to him coming over here...if he can't are you going to be able to just pick up and go over there and visit him?

Your co worker hurt herself that bad falling in the shower...wow...but overtime would be nice for you...I am saving every penny I have for our visa...

Jaime are you ready to bust with excitement about moving...And Alan must be about to bust too...with the thought of you being over there permanently.....Good luck

I really don't know how I would have gotten thru alot of things if it wasn't for you ladies...this thread has been the best thing ever

I agree with Josy, Carey....your troubles will vanish when you're with David.

And Josy, I can't up and leave to be with Ian over the holidays, OR be there to take care of him if he wanted me to after his spinal tap.  Because my co-worker will be out for months, I won't be able to take time off of work....especially to be gone for weeks to England.  *sighs*  Oh well, I'm not giving up on the idea of Ian being here until tomorrow....then I'll REALLY know whether to be excited or bummed out.

Patty- that's not really fair to you! Tough luck for the co-worker, but seriously. You have a life, too! I hope it works out that he can be there. If anything I'd see about at least getting a long weekend to England. Better than nothing, in the end!

Carey- continued positive vibes coming your way. Fingers crossed still!!

Jamie- how many days now? 3? I'm so excited for you. Don't forget to go to Target before you go, one last time. At least that is what I'll be doing the day before I (one day) move. I love Target so much and it's the one American thing I will miss!

Josy- don't give up on Christmas yet (you said you almost took down the decorations, right?) I did that for several years and it's really nice to have it all up again. Just keep telling yourself you're in the spirit and it will help!!

Oh, I have to share- last night, I met Rachael Ray!!! She was very nice. Pretty much the way she is on tv. It was so fun. I got her new book and she signed it, along with the veggie cookbook of hers from many years ago (like 10!) that my sister had given me for Christmas several years ago. It was so fun!! I have a picture of her with my sister on the 365 blog. :)

Ok, I seriously have tons to do at work. Should really get to it! Have a great Tuesday. One day closer to the weekend! :)

Patty I am sorry I totally wasn't even thinking that with your co worker out you wouldn't be able to get away...that does stink that it could affect your life like that..but it isn't your fault she got hurt and it shouldn't ruin your plans...I agree with Beth on that...I will keep you and Ian in my thoughts and hopefully he will have good news for you tomorrow...and he will be on his way here before you know it...

Beth you met Rachel Ray that is sooo cool...I am glad to hear she was nice my sister loevs her...and I agree with you go to Target before you leave the states...it is a must do...but they do have Asda in England which is the sister store of Walmart...so you can find a little bit of home far away....even though I much prefer target...

I didn't almost take down my decorations I think that was Carey...but it just doesn't seem like Christmas this year...with all that went on this past year and life still being up and the air...I guess I am just not feeling it...but I am trying to get myself in the mood for it...maybe I need to watch Love Actually....lol

Well girls - bad news is you wont be able to practice your boxing skills, good news is I dont think I'm fired.  I dont want to get into it b/c I am sooo tired of talking about it, but I think all is well on that front.  GET THIS: my boss told me that when I get defensive, I cop a British accent!  WTF?!

Patty - I am glad that Ian is able to see his regular doc quickly.  I feel so horrible for you and am thinking all the positive thoughts I have left that she gives him the all clear to travel.  Please let us know as soon as you hear from him.

Josy - how have things been between you and Jason lately?  All back to normal? Lovey and happy, hopefully?  And GASP - how can you not know what a 365 blog is? :) All the cool kids do them... well, me and Beth anyway :)  Click on hers and mine at the bottom of our posts.   Jamie, you totally need to do one for your first year in England!

Jamie are you ready to bust with excitement about moving...And Alan must be about to bust too...with the thought of you being over there permanently.....Good luck

I can't speak for Jamie but it's so exciting here in England, the house is ready the whole of the upstairs has been decorated (colours chosen by Jamie) with the intention to finish the rest off together. There is a wardrobe, nine drawers and masses of cupboard space waiting to be filled.

All my family and friends can't wait to see Jamie back in England, this time for good, everyone saying they are there to help if needed.

Most of all I am ready and so excited to finally be able to begin the "forever" we have both talked and dreamed about for so long! Am I ready to burst?...probably, at times, yes I am!
My emotions can be all over the place right now because we are so close and I am trying to make everything right, nerves can creep in but on the whole just excited.

We have an appointment with a registrar 29th December to give notice of our intent to marry and a date Friday 19th December to buy a tree and decorate it together and the rest of the house too. Before all this though Jamie has to leave Denver, something I know will be very hard to do, and wish I could be there to help.

I am sure you ladies will be kept informed of our progress this week and after that too but I know Jamie has a very busy social few days trying to see everyone before she leaves but for now...

OMG this time next week she will be living here!!!

When I first came to the UK for my very first visit to meet Dh boyfriend at the time. he said we have ASDA it is the sister store of Walmart I was excited to know that I would have at least my beloved Walmart when I moved to England. but sadly when we went the first time to ASDA I was seriously let down it wasn't like my beloved Wallyworld.  :(  then When Dh came to the States to visit me we went to Walmart an he was barely in the doors an he said point taken my store isn't anything like your store yours is better lol.  ;D

Any man who watches Love Actually of his own free will is a good man in my book lol.   ;D[smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

Yeah, ASDA is nothing like Wal*Mart here...buuuttt..food selection is good (they have a BIG vegetarian section which works for me!)

And Al, that WAS really sappy.....*sighs*  Makes me miss my fiance even more (even though I JUST hung up from video chat with him, which he fell asleep at the end, so I watched him sleep for like..a half hour.  That's not weird, is it? :p)

*sighs*  I want it to be tomorrow aready.

Buuuuttt....good to know that things are o.k., Carey!  Hope you get to relax this evening.  If and when you're ready to give details, we're here to listen. :)

Oohhh...and Josy, yes, all the cool kids are doing a 365 blog..lol.  I'm going to start one this coming January to see the transition from going from single, American girl to married, American girl in England. :D
