[smiley=antlers.gif]MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

[smiley=elf.gif] Sounds like everyone has had a good holiday so far! Yesterday was the first time DH had Christmas without his family. I'm usually in England with his family for Christmas as well. So it wasn't quite the same, but we still had fun. I'm glad I got to hang out with my fam before leaving them for a while and I'm even more grateful that DH got to spend Christmas with me after all. He put together a really cute picture frame with wedding pics in it for me. And Santa brought a couple pressies as well. Our main gift was being together though and it was the BEST one. I'm stuck back at work (which is a ghost town today) and am hoping to get out even earlier than I did on Christmas Eve. *fingers crossed*

[smiley=bigcry.gif] DH leaves tomorrow. No packing/laundry/etc is done. I still have to go through my boxes in the attic and pack an extra suitcase of my stuff to send back with him. Dinner plans tonight, lunch plans tomorrow before the airport. Sheesh!! I'm tired!!

Happy post-Christmas, everyone!  I hope it was lovely for all!

I'm currently stuffing things into my carry-on at the last minute and totally FREAKING OUT that I'll be in Ireland at this time tomorrow.

I'm both excited and SO NERVOUS at the same time.  I don't mind flying, but I really hate airports.  I'll be so glad once I get through security and on the plane at Dulles.  And through Immigration in Dublin, of course. haha

I'll be checking in within the next two weeks, but I've decided not to spend that much time on my computer while over there.  So have a great new year everyone!

 :)

Have a great trip, Brittany! Say hi to Bono if you see him. He'll know who I am. ;)

Chi_chi- I don't envy you! Sounds like a lot to do. Sounds like you had a great time with DH, though. :)

Hi Josy!

Today has been a very lazy day around my apartment. I've done the dishes and had breakfast and not much else! I really need to get some straightening done around here. Too.much.clutter! As soon as I finish my morning coffee (yes, I know it's 1 in the afternoon now....) I will get started. I need to get a run in today, too!

Have a great Friday!

Hi Guys!! Not going to go into a lengthy one tonight! But my first Boxing Day at my future mother in laws was really really great:) We ate and drank literally all day! It is so nice to finally be together after all that waiting! Was also fun to hang out with his brother and wife they are all so nice and make me feel so welcome:)  A little homesick right at the moment but all in all happier than I have ever been...so homesickness feels like a small price to pay for my new life here with him:)

Hope everyone had a safe and relaxing Christmas! I'm so sorry for everyone who was unable to be where they really wanted to be this holiday :( But keep it up ladies! it is SOO worth the wait:)

I was at work today....but atleast I have the weekend off....woo hoo!

Glad everyone had a nice Christmas.  And geezie, sounds like everyone had ghost town today at work....although we were pretty chaotic.  We had a Kwanzaa celebration that I ran (I ran our Hanukkah one as well...hmm...do I sense a pattern here??).

And my Christmas was alright.  Worked the morning, then came home and tried to speak to Ian, but he wasn't in a talkative mood because he's got so much on his mind (btw..he goes for his spital tap and MRI on Monday).  Then I went to my Mom's for dinner.

I wish I could've eaten and drank all day. :p

Chi Chi, I'm sorry your DH is leaving tomorrow....but Josy is right, you two will be together before you know it.  Just hope you guys got things together for the spousal visa application BEFORE DH is leaving.

I'll catch you ladies this weekend.

And Brittany, have a safe flight!  You'll be wonderful. :)

Old Navy sucks for not shipping to the UK! I have a $50 gift card from my aunt, and $57 worth of stuff from their clearance sale in my cart....so I pay $14 out of pocket including shipping to *pa*, then my mom has to pay $20 more to ship it out to me. NO FAIR!

OTOH....$14 + $20 is still less than $50...AND I grabbed SIX shirts, 2 pairs of tights, and a pair of pants. *Score*

aww Jamie you will be homesick from time to time...and if you are anything like I was it somehow hit me full force about 3 months in and I had one day where I just cried and wanted my mother and it was a sad day...but at the end of the day after talking to my mom on the phone and having Jason come home from work...I realized I was right where I belonged...I am glad you had a wonderful Christmas and Boxing Day....

Becca it sounds like you really wracked up on bargains....at the after sales...

Patty have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your time off...

I bought Mama Mia last night and watched it with my sister...that is a good romantic movie that just makes you smile the whole time even if you are down....

I must be wired strangely. I'm completely NOT homesick, not even on Christmas...I just want to figure out a way to stay here and not go home! LOL

I THINK I may have found my wedding dress.  I went to this place not far from my house, jut to check stuff out, and I found this wonderful dress.  One of the women there helped me try it on (lol...it was a size 8, which I am not, so she had to hold the back while I looked in the mirror...I looked like an over stuffed sausage in them a bit).  Buuuttt....the one I LOVE was just delightful.  Then she put a veil on me, and I almost started crying.

So I have to decide within the next few days if I want the dress or not so they can order it and I can get it on time for the wedding.  Looks like I'll have to go to David's Bridal sooner than planned.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.  Even though I may have found my dress, I'm a bit down in the dumps because Ian was supposed to arrive today. :(

Patty I am sorry you are a bit down in the dumps...I know how it feels...Jason was supposed to visit me in October...and the 2 days before the trip he had to cancel...it was hard that week when I kept thinking he would have been here we would have been going there. But you will be together with him soon...and all will be good

I am sooo excited about the dress...it was a good day for you after all

you aren't wired wrong Becca...once you are over there and know you are definitely going to be living there you will get homesick at some point...even when you least expect it...trust me lol...it is natural

So, I'm watching P.S. I Love You.....I think it's probably a bad idea.  :p

And thanks, Josy....I'm trying to stay positive, but I'm blah.  Me being upset is making Ian even more upset, and we've hit our first rough patch.

But, tomorrow is a new day.

Have you heard from Jason, btw?
