Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

Who?  ;)

Vicky refers to the lead actress in 'Australia'.  I had the sense of recognizing her during the film and looked her up in the Wiki.  It turns out she was in 'Batman', which is probably where I recognized her from.  She was also in a film called 'Golden Compass', which was totally forgettable except for the scenes shot at the Greenwich Observatory.

Oh Garry, I'm so sorry, but Mrs R is slightly taking the micky.  EVERYONE who hasn't had their head buried in the sand for the last 15 years knows who Nicole Kidman is, but somehow we both realised that you wouldn't instantly know her.

I first saw her in 'BMX Bandits'!

To be honest, I spent the movie thinking she was the actress from Indiana Jones who had somehow altered the configuration of her upper torso region if you catch my drift :-[

Seriously, I do pretty well on the big names tho'.

She's pretty obscure.  I don't think you'd know who she is.  She was married to an another actor for awhile.  His name is Tom Cruise.  He was in Top Gun, a movie about pilots but I don't think he's been in much since then.

Yes, but does she own a green dress? :P

That was somebody else.  This one had a white and blue ensemble that was awesome, but nothing can touch the green dress.  Nothing.    ;)

I saw 'Milk' last night.  Totally brilliant.  How is this guy not a national hero?  How had I never heard of him until two months ago? Why was this film not made before now?

It was and it was probably better, The Times of Harvey Milk.   But I like documentaries better than films about the subjects, see Dogtown and Z-Boys versus Lords of Dogtown.

I like Gus Van Sant, but Sean Penn is annoying.

and I want my wedding to be just like the wedding in it (and it probably will be, dang dysfunctional family!)

OMG..I thought I might have been the only person to ever see this movie on HBO. I tell people she was in  it all the time. No one has heard of it.
It was corny...but it was cool.

I just find the actual people to be more moving.  You can have an actor playing the part, but to hear it from the actual people... Well you know.  I made my husband watch it before we got married.   :)
