Just to clock in, Brideshead Revisited (2008).

I suppose they should get credit for getting it all into 2 hours.  But it can't hold a candle to the original.

Vicky, if you liked it, you might consider also reading the book both the documentary and the film are based on: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mayor_of_Castro_Street

I read it and loved it. I can lend you my copy.
And if you threw a party

You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say

I was on a movie kick last week.  I was in the States visiting my Mom and sister.  Took them to the movies.  I was so surprised how cheap it was.  It cost me less than $20 for the three of us to see a matinee of  "He's Just Not That Into You."  It was cute, I enjoyed it.  It is what it is...a light-weight chick-flick, but it had some moments that really resonated with me.

"Slumdog Millionaire" was also good. Would recommend it.

I also saw "Vicky Christina Barcelona" on the plane.   Not sure I would have seen it otherwise, but I enjoyed it.  Javier Bardem is very sexy.   It makes me want to go visit Barcelona right now!

I really want to see this, I've heard good things!

We saw Ben Button last night.  I REALLY enjoyed it, though it was very long and I was pretty obsessed with the fact that Cate Blanchett didn't have a line on her face for almost the whole movie. ;D

We saw Ben Button last night.  I REALLY enjoyed it,

I went to the piccys and saw it tonight, and I LOVED IT! I thought it was actually very clever and when its released on dvd, I am going to add it to my collection.  Hubby on the other hand was not so keen, and called me a puss for having a tear to it every now and then  :P

I dunno, I think I am a little emotional about the elderly for some odd reason at the moment.  :)

I rated it a 9/10
He rated it a 7/10

I can't wait for Watchmen.  I gave my dh the book for Valentine's Day so he would know what was going on.

We saw Gran Torino at the weekend which I thought was excellent. Clint reminded me very much of my Dad in the film....

It definitely has it's uncomfortable moments, but I was very pleasantly surprised by how well written, and beautifully acted it is, with A LOT of humor!
Not a film I would choose to go see, but because it was a SAG screening I did, and am glad for it!  So maybe steel yourself a little, but it's more enjoyable and lovely than it is violent and unpleasant!
