Scrapbooking :o)
« on: October 28, 2008, 02:08:50 PM »
i'm sure i'm not the only one who brought my favourite hobby along to the uk with me!
Do any of you other scrappers attend monthly crops? go to any getaway events here in the uk? buy from american sites and have it shipped?
the only scrapbook magazine i get is the US Creating Keepsakes and so often the items i fall head over heels for are not out here yet (sometimes i'm sure i've never seen them make their rounds here).
i look forward to going home almost as much for scrapbook shopping as any other reason and am always sure to leave spare room in my luggage for that very cause!
i'm am SOOOO grateful to have found a monthly crop with a fantastic group of ladies not far from my home!

This is something I have wanted to get into for ages...  My future mother in law is deep in it and has a studio for it with every supply you could ever imagine, but she's all the way in Chicago.  I don't really know where to begin with it all, although I occasionally pick up cute art supplies and save keepsakes from special moments etc.  Someday, someday...

She's got a post about it in the Just Do It section!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

UKscrappers is a GREAT place to start. There are loads of online scrapbooking places.

Most news agents carry good quality scrapbooking magazines....

I will have to check it out!  Especially with Winter coming because it seems like a fun indoor hobby...  Just walked home in the snow, and am freeeeeeeeezing!

Oh! That's how it starts {insert evil laugh here}....i find it very rewarding (keepsakes, gifts, etc.) and once you start you only get more into it! So save the 'starting' moment for when you have plenty of time and money... :D
