Idiot Teacher

I read this article http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/Northeast/05/28/crybaby.award.ap/index.html recently and just lost it. I've posted a little something at my site http://www.biggestapple.net but I wouldn't advise anyone reading it if they're easily offended.

I simply cannot understand why our teachers aren't valued as they should be so that the calling becomes more of a draw for those who are truly gifted and we can start weeding these creeps out.

I heard about this on the radio a week ago or so.  I was actually surprised at the radio personality because they were all for it.  I personally don't really believe in "tough love".  If thats what you would call it.  To be quite honest, I think something would have to be seriously wrong with someone who would get a kick out of humiliating a child in front of not only his peers, but his family.

I don't ever have to send Philip to school right?
He doesn't ever have to come ito contact with anyone, ever right?

See, I'm not one of those people who believes that the purpose of school is to get the kids to "feel good about themselves."  I get really irritated when I hear about competitions that are skewed so nobody is allowed to lose, and stuff.

But I am definitely against publicly humiliating children, too!  What idiot thought that was a good idea?  Shame on that coach, shame!

He blames his lack of experience as a coach and as a father?!

What about experience as a HUMAN BEING?
