CV Question - Mention Tier 1 Visa?
« on: November 07, 2008, 03:11:43 PM »
I just received my Tier 1 visa yesterday.

Do you add this to your CV so employers know you are able to work legally in the UK?

I was not sure whether or not people list this on their CV's

Thanks,
Dana

I tend to put a note about my visa in my cover letter, not on the CV itself (although I know some people do put it on there.)
Now a triple citizen!

Student visa 9/06-->Int'l Grad Scheme 1/08-->FLR(M) 7/08-->ILR 6/10-->British citizenship 12/12

I often put "Unrestricted Right to Work in the UK" in the CV and the head hunter/recruiter/whatever will almost always clarify how I came about that right and will explain further.

Personally I would put something in both the Cover Letter and the CV, because some HR folks discard cover letters when they get further down the process.

Definitely make it clear on your CV you can work here.  As a recruiter I find it silly when people don't put any indication on their CV of their visa or right to work when they are clearly not British.
