I agree completely. I don't eat red meat and I'm used to just picking around it or eating everything else but the meat when invited to people's houses. Guests don't get to choose what their hosts serve them. They get to deal with it and be gracious about it.



I agree. I tend to be picky about what I eat, but when I am a guest in someone's home I either eat what is served, but maybe a smaller portion, or politely decline. If it's something I'm allergic to, I just don't eat it; I don't expect something else to be prepared just for me.  If I were there for an extended period of time I would do my own shopping and prepare my own food.

As a very fussy eater myself I know I am a pain in the ars*.  Usually I will just eat the things I do like and apologise profusely about the rest.  If you are wanting to make them something seperately, I would ask and find out what they normally eat and make that.
