They are a big "guy" thing with a lot of healthy people I've seen in the western US.

Macho and all that.

This 'guy thing'... one does notice that there is a tendency for guys to go on (and on) about cranks and cotter pins and gear ratios and such like, whereas women just ride the damn things...

Acquisition of an old Raleigh 3-speed touring bike was an absolute condition of my coming over. He got me one, too. It's in the shed. Sadly, it needs a bit of attention and it has rained every day since I got got here.

It's got a wicker basket on the front and everything. But I want a little bell, too, so I can go, "ch-ching, ch-ching! Get out of the f***ing way! I'm Miss F***ing Marple!"

Yeah. I'm going to fit in real good here. I can just feel it!

Or, better yet, get one of these!

I got my boyfriend one for his birthday a few years ago and he loves it! Even on his high-tech mountain bike it somehow feels right.

Hey remember you gurls writing  a month ago about your personal shopping carts. You got very specific when you were talking about them. ;)
That is a gurl thing. There is a tendency for gurls........
