LOL or maybe I'm blind and they've been around for a long time  ::) it wouldn't the the first time lol

it's just the new tag/icon for Charter Members, as far as I can tell.
Now a triple citizen!

Student visa 9/06-->Int'l Grad Scheme 1/08-->FLR(M) 7/08-->ILR 6/10-->British citizenship 12/12

Yep, Leah added them to those who are charter members ( http://talk.uk-yankee.com/index.php?board=27.0 ) and part of some new work Leah is doing on the site. :D
I'm done moving. Unrepatriated back to the UK, here for good!

Yeah, ironically, if you're not a charter member apparently, you can't access the link you just posted about it being for charter members.

I hate not being cool enough! :'(

It's only £12 (just over $17). A bargain for those of us who would list UKY as one of their addictions/sources of invaluable information/daily amusement/etc....  :D

Exactly!  Considering the amount of time I spend here, not to mention the time and money Leah has put into the site, I'm more than happy to do what I can to help out. :)

OH! I thought you had to literally be a charter member- as in one of the first members! LOL I've never noticed a membership link before. I will be joining now. TOTALLY worth the money (especially now with the great exchange rate for me! haha!) Thanks! :)

Joining up!  You guys have been a huge help already, and I'm not even working on getting my visa yet!

Good call asking the question, Turtle!

(I mean, if I pay for LJ and I pay for Craftster, why not?)

ETA - Anyone doing it *today* here's paypal's conversion rate for USD -> GBP:
Quote
PayPal Conversion Rate as of Nov. 23, 2008: 1 U.S. Dollar = 0.655353 British Pounds

Which makes it about $18.75:D

Thank you for the support, ladies. I had to get the badges working correctly before I could get the automated system online, I didn't realise it would grab so much attention so quickly before I was able to announce it. ;D

Although we've put our UK plans on hold for now, UKY has been such an invaluable resource in researching our move.
I don't know how I would have managed without the DEFRA pets for dummies thread-and hey, my furry family members are all set to travel years before I am...
Count me in as well. :)
