I got my little postcard in the mail today saying "Thanks for filing. Now wait 12 weeks."
I'm done moving. Unrepatriated back to the UK, here for good!

I pulled out my calendar yesterday and felt better - 12 weeks from our petition date still puts us in for an August interview, which is fine bcause we want to move in September. So no problem! As long as they are on time.... ;)

I don't know why you didn't get a postcard, mine doesn't have any real info on it, just that they recevide my app (which I knew because they debited my credit card) - and to sit and wait now. They've debited your credit card (from what I can tell from your signature) - so I wouldn't be worried about it, it's just weird you didn't get one.  :-\\\\

Well we didn't get a postcard either, so don't feel bad.  >:(

I was worried as well, but thought that maybe they're only doing it for recent apps and didn't have the time to go back and send them to the ones that have been lying around for ages!

Okay, now I don't feel so bad.  And besides, they did recieve it, because the money came out of the account.

Gosh, the waiting is killing me.

Congrats Bruinbrooke.

Well I have emailed the consular in London, and they have a case number for us, which is a start.  Just waiting on the approval.   And we sold our house already......Now all we need is the visa and we will be on our way.

Hi All,

I just checked the website and the good news for Melanie and other folks that filed in May is  "As of Friday, July 2nd 2004 we are currently processing I-130 petitions that were officially filed on or before May 4th 2004".

The not so good news according to the website is: "Please note that the DHS-Immigration office will be CLOSED Monday through Friday, 12-16 July 2004. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, 19 July 2004".  Closed for an entire week?

Melanie - can you please post the email address for the consular? It would be great to have for future reference. Thanks!
