Cheap but good place to eat in London

I have to say that only in London can you combine a cheap Thai meal with a traditional English pub.  I just found this place we have eaten at several times on Zagat so here it is for anyone that likes Thai! We never booked ahead as you can have a nice pint while waiting in the pub part of it!

"Thai for a tenner" -- what "unbelievable value" fawn fans who "book ahead" to eat in this "great old traditional pub" in the "deepest Kensington"; the "yummy food" is "perfect for a casual meal" and so is the "wonderfully quirky atmosphere" -- little wonder it's "invariably packed."

Cool!  Thanks.  I will keep that place in mind for one day as I'm being a tourist before work begins!

There is a terrific all you can eat thai buffet on greek street, easy to find, very near to soho square/ tottenham court road tube.  All for a fiver!

Experienced londoner note: Good food! Not those china town dives that lager louts use to tank up on questionable fried poultry before a night on the razz!

Other good cheap London eat is Central on Charing Cross Road, just near the theatre where Les Mis used to play (the Palace I believe).  Excellent Italian food!
