Any Lockers/Storage at Heathrow Airport or Nearby?

Hi everyone-

What a great site!!

My wife and i are set to depart from SF to London on first week of July . We have yet to secure a place to stay in london so we have been trying to find out about the lockers/storage facility at Heathrow ( we are flying into heathrow) . I have been on the heathrow site but there is no mention of lockers . I'm sure they have lockers but but we are concerned about the size and cost per day for storage . We will be carrying three very large and heavy suitcases and without having secured a place to stay, would not want to be lugging them around central london while we look for a room .

Can anyone help with advice or tips on how best to " take this weight off our backs " while we search around for a place to stay.

Any idea on what we can expect to pay? Just wanted to figure it out before we got there...I wish the Heathrow site had some info about this.

Thanks for the link, i have checked out their site and sent an email inquiry about any requirements on luggage dimentions..want to be certain the ones we have will be acceptable.

Yes, your suggestion of looking for a  closer place to central london for storing our bags is a much better solution.

Yes we are heading into central london to look for a place to stay.. would the paddington station be our closest left luggage location to central london ?

Also i read that their facility is more like over-the-counter storage as opposed to an actual locker room..so you know if is this the case in most of their locations ?

I am assuming BR stands for British Rail right ?

zufan - are you looking for a permanent place or just a place to stay a few days?  Is there any reason you are waiting until you arrive (which might make it more expensive or tougher)?
