I've seen it on TV but that was in the US.
I'm glad you posted the site so now I can read up on it.

We've been members of Streetcar for over two years now and we LOVE THEM! We're in central London and there are literally 10 cars within about 15 minutes' walk of ours so there's pretty much always one available (I think there's only about 2 zipcars for the same area). We really only take it out about 5-10 times a year but it's so useful for when we do a big Costco/Ikea/B&Q trip. Otherwise we've been perfectly happy not owning a car, and I haven't even bothered to get a UK driving license...
Summer 97 - first visited friends in London
99-00 - studied at Uni of Sussex on exchange
Feb 02 - moved to London on BUNAC
Sep 02 - WP granted (IT skills shortage list)
Sep 04 - WP renewed
Sep 06 - WP renewed again (screwed by 4-5 year ILR change)
Sep 07 - ILR!
March 09 - Citizenship!
July 09 - bone marrow transplant :(
18 Sep 10 - wedding!
Mar 12 - half marathon in Paris! 1:47:12!
Oct 12 - Amsterdam FULL marathon! 3:48:23!

Uh, you might want to be careful then. Technically you should not be driving in the UK on your US license after 1 year, and going back to the US for a visit doesn't restart your clock. If you were caught that would be BIG trouble.

I think you've misunderstood me - I don't have a UK driving license because I don't drive! At all! My man loves to drive so I'm happy to let him deal with the stress and hassle of it for the few times we take the streetcar out.

The concept of someone just not driving at all is a lot more common here in the UK...

Oh, right, I got the idea that you were driving the club cars! Believe me, I'm quite familiar with the concept of people not driving over here- I'm the only one with a license amongst my friends, and my partner's parents are in their 60s and have never driven in their lives!
