1982

;D  I see teenage girls in this village wearing them all the time.  But I definitely haven't worn any since 1982!

1982

Wonder how much 1982 charges for delivery. ;)
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

Don't you all know, they are back "in" style!  ;) I shuddered when I saw a pair in H&M. (Though today they would have been nice, it's freezing out)

Sad, but true.  Why on Earth would someone bring back a trend that was lame the first time around??

I'm thinking that about almost all the 80's inspired trends making a comeback recently. I'm thinking of organizing a hunting party on Katie Holmes for trying to bring back pegged jeans. Who's with me?

Ok... no shame in my game, but I own and wear leg warmers. I wear them under my boots like thick socks because I hate that gape between my boots and legs. I own 1 black pair, 1 brown pair and a grey pair and I am proud.  :P  :)

But you've found a function for them!  That I can admire.  It's the fashion lemmings that I have an issue with. ;)

I know, but the name clearly gives away the function, right? To warm your poor cold legs. Stick a pair under your wellies and you will be converted, I swear!

I've seen so many young teenage girls walking around the shops with bright pink leg-warmers on... it's crazy! At first I forgave them because I thought it might be a Breast Cancer Care fund-raising thing or something (because every girl was wearing pink ones and we were wearing pink T-shirts to work to raise money), but then I realised they were actually trying to be fashionable :o!!

I'll admit that I did used to own both black and turquoise leg-warmers when I was a teenager (mid-to-late 90's), but I had an excuse: I was a ballet dancer and only wore them to class  :P!!

I can't get wellies to fit over my gargantuan calves even without leg warmers!  :o :P

I've got "Wellie Warmers", fleecy socks that fold over the tops of my boots. :)
