IIRC, 'beefcake' is the male version of 'cheesecake', which is what they used to call pin up models in WWII. I guess beef sounded manlier?

I like David Tennant for the simple fact that he chose 'Tennant' as his stage name because of Pet Shop Boys.

It's a dump (apologies to anyone who stays there and to my 8-week-old son, who was born there  ).  There are bigger dumps, Greenock and Port Glasgow spring to mind  , but I can see why David wanted to get out of there.

Tennant is fantastic...which is why he left Paisley, I imagine. 

Port Glasgow scares me, and I've only been past it in a train (en route to Gourock).
