Very easy, but you'll be looking for coriander, not cilantro.

LOL!

Go in the veg salad area of a large supermarket and look for the plastic packets of herbs...It won't be loose and it won't be masses. About a handful's worth.

Sainsbury's sells them in pots as well although i've never had any joy getting any to grow...

Or go to a greengrocer if you want a big bunch. They usually sell it unwrapped and just tied in huge bunches with elastic bands.

We get it from the asian grocers in big bunches, chop it up and freeze it.

There is none in my village, and I have looked everywhere.  I usually get it at Sainsbury's when we go, but it wilts so fast I have to use it within a day or two.

I chop it up and freeze it in a bag - then take out when I need some.

Yeah, and I love to make fresh guacamole. I love cooking with fresh herbs. I tried the pots, too, but the coriander died even faster than the bagged stuff.  Not sure how easy it is to grow.  Due to the lack of fresh herbs in this village, I am planning to try to grow a little inside herb garden when we move into our new place.  Any suggestions?

I usually keep it in a little pot of water on my windowsill, it keeps for ages that way. Also, you can buy those little post of growing herbs, they just keep on growing!!

I've had great luck growing everything ... except coriander. I don't know what it is, but I can't do it. I generally grow thyme, parsley, rosemary, mint (a few varieties), lemon balm, basil, etc. I've never done it indoors, though - just outside in pots.

I have the same problem.  My mint and basil are flourishing, my coriander is picked once then dies.  Maybe I am picking it from the wrong place?
