UK address for Tier 1

I tried to search the forum to see if I could answer this myself but I didn't find anything. I was looking at the online application and noticed it said before I start that one of the things I needed handy was my "UK address." I didn't plan on getting a residence until I moved there. Am I required to have a UK address for my application? I wondered if maybe it wasn't applicable to everyone but then I don't want to take any chances.
