Big hair.  And door knocker earrings.  Them b*tches ruined my ears.

 ;D

I can't believe that the mullet is starting to come back :o I've seen far too many of them lately.

Along those lines.... Hypercolor shirts.  They were only popular for about 10 minutes, but it was long enough for me to run out and buy one.

I did that in junior high!  And lets not forget the ridiculous way of folding over and rolling up jeans legs.  It totally completed the 3 pairs of socks look ;D

The other fad I hope never to see again, even though I thought it was great at the time is 80's hair.  Bangs teased up so high they reach the clouds, side pony tails, banana clips, and crimping.  Ugh.

I LOVE mall hair!!  I toyed with doing my hair 80's style for Halloween, but didn't have the time to buy the requisite hair products. ;D

Two words:  acid wash.

um... sorry... http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=btms%5Fjeans&product%5Fid=2056942287&Page=all

One more....the stockings that only come up just over the knees, the girls wear them with short skirts - aka Alicia Silverstone in Clueless.

sorry again... http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=acc%5Flegwear&product%5Fid=1058648183&Page=all

Neon.

Anything.

this was one of mine too - especially oversized mis-matched bright colors... but alas... http://www.zumiez.com/zshop/ProductDetail.aspx?DepartmentID=3&CategoryID=727&ShopByBrand=False&OrganizationID=-1&ProductID=101878

And the rolled up jeans is already appearing again thanks to Katie Holmes. I'm sure the multiple socks will be next.

It looks like we're back in the 1990's folks!!!

Shoulderpads in everything from undergarments to coats. By the time you were fully dressed your shoulders were broader than any professional linebacker!

Shell suits  :o!!

And along the same lines as the hypercolor shirts... tie-dye shirts :-\\\\.

I'm ashamed to admit that I owned both of these in the early 90's... although I was under the age of 10 when I wore them, so hopefully it wasn't too bad a fashion disaster (I can just blame my parents for buying them for me and assume no responsibility, lol).

I had a femullet when I was 15. Thought it was so cool even though I looked like a poodle.

Anything you can buy at Forever21 doesn't count.  They should just rename the store RidiculousTrendsThatLastAnHour and be done with it.

Leg warmers, jelly shoes, cheap plastic accessories, bubble skirts/dresses (those are back, though!!), tie died stuff, personalized hats/visors with puff paint, long long nails painted in ugly colors (neon/bright usually), electric blue eyeshadow, leggings (also back!), tight rolling shirts/jeans.... I could go on and on! Basically anything popular in the 80s and early 90s! Oddly, I teach at a middle school and am constantly seeing the same fashions we wore when I was in middle school (1986-1988). I love pointing this out to them and watching their expressions of horror! LOL ;D

I'd say the ones I hate the most are shoulder pads (already mentioned) and jeans that fasten at the waist (unflattering on almost everyone).  Some of the others I think are cute if you are young like leg warmers.

I can't tell you how much I WISH big hair would come back. I love it so much - as does my hair. Love love love love big hair!!!

jeans that fasten at the waist (unflattering on almost everyone).

They are back! And I actually kinda like them! Scratch that - I like them a lot. But I'm too fat to tuck things in, so I don't bother. But they're so much more comfy than these crap jeans that allegedly sit on the hips, but in reality just fall down constantly. Arg.

I don't really mind any of the fads that have been mentioned here. They all make me a bit nostalgic feeling. You'd have to go back much further to find something I really hope never comes back - like mutton chops on men and bustles on women!

The waterfall bangs/fringe.  Curl, spray, rat, blowdry, repeat until you have to duck through the door.  I know as I have school photos of this, mine was the highest in my grade.

I don't really know how to answer this question...  I just know that I want skinny jeans to die a painful death.

So did I ;D My kids love to look back at my old photos just to have a good laugh sometimes.

Big hair was alright-I could actually get mine to look halfway decent.  After perming my hair to within an inch of its life, I needed a can of Aqua Net, a fine tooth comb, and an hour.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned parachute pants or Members Only jackets.
