this is my great-gram's recipe. she kicked ass and so does her cheeseball.

1 block cream cheese
1 package crumbled blue cheese
1 tub dairylea spread (use a jar of kraft old english spread in the states)

soften them all at room temp, then beat together. refrigerate for several hours. form into a ball with rubber spatula and roll in crushed walnuts.
it's not where you're born, it's where you belong

Mindy, how did your ball turn out?
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

Really good, thanks.  :)  I had to substitute so sort of ended up just throwing alot of cheese together in a ball.  I used some kind of smoky ham Bavarian cheese and edam.  And then vegetarian Worcester sauce (we have fish allergy in the house).  But it was good and the kids got a kick out of it.  The idea of a cheeseball was a foriegn concept to them. Here is a picture of the amazing cheeseball and my oldest on her way to a party.  Did anyone else make one?

nope. wussed out. didn't sound like much fun just doing it for myself anyhow. I'm looking forward to trying it in the future though. Maybe next Christmas with the in-laws. (Someone remember to pull up this thread again around Chrismas time ;) )
