I actually much prefer peanut butter here - the US stuff has way too much sugar (and transfats!) added, and don't get me started on the plastic texture!

And I was actually talking about marmite (juuuust the thinnest layer) and peanut butter - together - on toast. MmMm! I'm pretty sure I saw someone on this forum talking about it, and as it combines two of my favourite toasty treats, I decided to give it a go. It's absolutely lovely!
My old Scandinavian flatmates got me hooked on jam and strong cheese on toast. Strawberry jam and gouda is delicious!
