Sunpat is fine with me, I will eat pretty much any peanut butter. But in the US I started getting into more natural nut butters, anyway. I love cashew butter and almond butter, too. So I guess I am used to the less sugary ones. I am a nut fiend and I am proudly obsessed with peanut butter! DH thinks it's ok, but he only eats a teaspoon on a sandwich. Me, I like about two tablespoons, thick and creamy, stick-to-the-roof-of-my-mouth kind of peanut butter sandwiches. He tried peanut butter with jam and thought it was ok. He said he could see how Americans would like the sweet and salty flavour of it, but it wasn't his favourite. I usually go for peanut butter and banana most of the time, and he thought that was a bit stranger, but still ok. My 2 year-old (English) stepson nearly gagged when I gave him a peanut butter sandwich, it was like there was hair on his tongue or something!
What makes me laugh is how everyone at work makes fun of my peanut butter obsession (I usually bring a half PB sandwich to work for breakfast) saying it's so gross, yet they eat black pudding sandwiches!

To each his own! Just be sure to tell your man that he can't eat black pudding in front of you and you can call it even!
