BF tried PB for the first time in his life yesterday (because I was talking about this thread and he said he never had it, so I made him try it)! He really liked it. Then I made him try it with strawberry jam and he thought he would think it the most vile thing on the planet! But instead, he loved it!  :) :)

No, no, no! Don't let them win!  ;)  :P

I haven't had the chance to chime in here, but Chary, I've got your back now! Sunpat is AWFUL but so is Skippy, etc. I typically get Waitrose own brand or Sainsburys organic. DH probably eats more PB than I do but wouldn't touch a PB&J for love or money.

Noooooooooooo!  No jumping in late to back her up!  She's already admitted it.

Absolutely. I grew up in the UK and have become sort of accustomed to peanut butter - although it's by no means one of my favourite foods. But peanut butter and jelly??!?! UGH! I don't know how anyone can eat that.  :-X
As a child, I lived on peanut butter and marshmallow sandwiches for lunch and shredded wheat for breakfast and supper  ;D  My mother went crazy but the doctor said not to worry!  I think I prefer peanut butter with apple sauce now though.
Once at work (in UK) in the tea room, a colleague turned up with his little bag from the bun shop -- a cream cake.  He sat there smirking over it and said to my Canadian co-worker and me, "Bet you wish you had one!"  We said, "No actually -- much rather have a peanut butter sandwich"

Really?? I can't think of many things in the world nicer than a cream cake!  :)

I sort of assumed BostonDiner meant a cream bun. Is that right, BD?

It was one of them buns that had been injected with cream and other goo.  The local bun shop called them "cream cakes"  -- trying to sound posh I suppose.

As long as there's cream involved, I don't mind what you call them!  :P

do you mean marshmallow cream? Add chocolate chips and you have one of my dad's classic sandwiches! mmmmmm

You know what a good spin on that would be?? Peanut butter, marshmallow cream, and NUTELLA! Oh man.
