Okay, last night I decided to try Marmite again, as the only time I've had it before is straight out of the jar.

I had two pieces of toast lathered in butter and a bit of Marmite.

My verdict?

It still tastes nasty.  It has a weird aftertaste and I won't be having it again.

Oh well.

PB on it's own, on toast, in a sandwich or with honey!  YUM!  Forget the jam!  It only takes away from the loveliness that is peanut butter.

Aww, sorry i missed that!
I dont read the threads about visas, settlement, etc... those days are long past for me!  ;)

Congratulations!   Is your wife here with you now?
How's she finding it?

(sorry, i am totally hijacking this thread...)  :-\\\\

Ok...don't want to hijack this thread any further but, yes she is here now, just had to stay 1 week longer in the US after I came home. Overall she's finding it ok, and she's even made good friends with another American woman who has lived in Barnsley for 12 years.

Thanks all for your belated congratulations

So squeezy Marmite works?  I had trouble imagining that it would.  Good to know -

and thanks for reminding me - it's time for a snack!

This is the first time I've tried the squeezy one. I don't know how it'll be once it's half empty, but I guess I'll see. For some reason, it was much cheaper than the nice jar (which I prefer).
