My feeling is that as sad as I am to see David Tennant leave the show, I am absolutely thrilled that the little Time Lord trick of regeneration means that the show - and the Doctor, warts and all - will live on. :D  I would rather watch Ten regenerate into Eleven (and Twelve, and Thirteen, and so on, especially if the Doctor manages to figure out the Master's secret to countless regenerations!) and continue his (or maybe, someday, HER) adventures in time and space than say goodbye to the show as a whole just because David is leaving. :)

I'm not sure yet how I feel about him. I'm not liking the hair but that can be changed. And I do wish he wasn't so young...but that's cos I'm old. :P :-\\\\ But he's not as horrible as some of the ones they had been saying were in the running to be the next Doctor. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. I didn't think I'd like DT at first but I ended up liking him a lot, so you never know. :)

Well his daughter will just regenerate.  That solves that problem for another generation.

He's so young.  But I haven't seen him in anything else, so I shall reserve judgement.  Moffat and Davies have got most things right so far, so we have to trust them.

Twenty-six is not that young!   ;)  I think this role will either make or break him.  He'll either always be known as that guy who played the doctor and he may not do much else or depending on how long he plays the role, it may jump start his career.  I think it is hard when you become the doctor when you have not done much else before Dr. Who.  It can sometimes be a role that is hard to shake.

He reminds me of Noel fielding from the Mighty Boosh. I think he be dashing and young enough for the geeky girls to swoon over.

what will he wear?

he'll never beat Jon Pertwee for style!

I was about to say the same - Jon Pertwee was THE doctor for me.

You can tell you're getting old when Doctor Who's start looking young!

Grrrrr  >:(

 ;D

Peter Davison was 29 when he bacame the Doctor, so not much difference.  He had also only been in a handful of shows...and he worked out fantastically!

Him and K9 playing chess amused me.  He was quite quirky.

I still love John Pertwee with Bessie!   ;D

Bessie is in The Doctor Who Experience in Blackpool...a truly fantastic place to go. I geeked around it for hours last summer (whilst Dan looked horrified but indulgent)...
