Hi Kaylesh, not sure how close to the village they were but they lived behind a strip mall.  We used to come out by way of Dedham.  So we would always pass these huge green and white sheds.  I think there were three of them.  Whenever I saw the sheds I knew we weren't far off.  The strip mall was on the right side of the road.  Its changed alot since we first started going down there to visit.  Its much more built up now than 20 years ago even.  They've lived in the area for something like 30-40 years I should think.  They all went to Medway High School as well. Wonder if you 'd know them.  Meadow Road is one of the streets near where they live.  Do you know the area?

Well, Mumbles is really up against it now -- between trying to negotiate with the City workers and sending protests to Harvard Univ. about the postponement of the Alston building projects.
Yesterday afternoon I saw 3 large hawks swooping around in Cambridge -- seems to have been some kind of a territorial tiff.  Hmmmm ....

Nope, we still got lotsa snow!  More icicles and ice dams too from the look of most houses.
Yes, we get daylight savings but just remember it will be black as pitch again in the mornings when I have to go to work.  Also DH is going to run into the snag of arriving too "early" at LHR when he flies back next week.  There's always somethin'.   :-\\\\

We were supposed to have 10-15" of snow here on Monday and it wasn't worth cancelling school at all. My area just got about 4 inches. We already had 11 days this year!  :o

I'd say we got a good 6-8" (just northwest of Boston) and they did call off school.  The problem was they weren't keeping up with the plowing.  And the sidewalk plow is just a joke.  Some idiot down the street has his driveway plowed and the plow operator just dumps the plowed stuff on the sidewalk opposite (being in the boonies we have a sidewalk on one side of the street only -- and only gets plowed because there is a school at other end of street)  Wasn't too bad when I walked by to get the bus to work -- managed to climb through it.  But coming home the sidewalk plow had been making its usual mess of the job and then the driveway had been plowed again -- its a very long driveway -- so the choice was mountaineering on the sidewalk or flounder out to the street and risk getting run over (and this is Massachusetts!)
And yesterday the bl**dy bus was 20 minutes late and we nearly froze our noses off!

I'm in central, MA, our school was cancelled too, just not worth the day when we already have to make up days for the ice storm in December. It seems like plowing is always an issue somewhere.

lol Boston Diner your comment regarding Mumbles had me guessing at first.  My Mumbles point of reference these days is a town just south of me on the coast in Swansea Wales. LOL sorry.

Awful about the weather though.  I'm glad to say I'm not sorry I've missed it this year.  We are getting mostly rain but it was colder than normal this year and loads of frost.  But the ice on the windows wasn't even thick enough to use an ice scraper.  sorry.

Yes, that's right!  Forgot about that Mumbles  ;D

Very nice weather at the weekend -- most of the snow melted.  BUT sleety rain overnight and has just turned to snow!!  Again!!  And pitch black this morning anyway because of Daylight Saving.

There may be a hike in the T fare after all.   :P

The Boston Globe is one of several US newspapers listed on a website as likely to fold.  Evidently they are losing $million per week.   :-\\\\

That Massachusetts list was awesome!  Got all teared up thinking about the Worcester Firefighters though.

BostonDiner - I'm a genealogy junkie and the Blackstone Valley and all points east.  Are you a descendants of the Holbrooks who had the Foundry?
