Not so much as a flake lying here.  Cold and windy with flurries, but none sticking and even some sun now and again.

LOVE not having to deal with snow.

They're starting to close schools for tomorrow already. It hasn't really stopped all day here and a quick walk at lunchtime confirmed that it's VERY icy under the snow. My boss has already more or less said that we can all work from home again tomorrow....

HUGE FAT FLUFFY FLAKES FLYING IN DERBY! In the last hour 2 inches have fallen! I grew up in the far northern Sacramento Valley and we rarely got snow, when we did it fell overnight and was gone by morning. So for me this is so very cool. It's like proper snow falling out there.

DH said it's falling like crazy in Notts as well, it's going to be tricky going for him on the way home.

It's not really too bad here in town - I went out for a wander and down to the shops.  What's on the street and pavements is pretty much melted, the snow coming down has been intermittent all day.  I'm sure there are accumulations out in the moors and dales.  But who knows what the night may bring?

I reckon about four inches out on Romney Marsh. Slowing down and switching over to rain  now. I put out fat balls for the dickie birds, who promptly got into little dickie bird fisticuffs over them.

250 schools closed today - DS was let out at noon; we were all let out of work early.  Roads are horrid.  It is a veritable winter wonderland outside!  I came home to a huge snowman in our front garden.

 ;D

Here in North Greenwich it started snowing yesterday afternoon and hasn't stopped.  It just keeps coming and coming! And me with four pairs of dress shoes and not one pair of boots. Not even Merrils. Guess my All-Stars are going to have to make do.  Oh, and no gloves. I though I had left Colorado behind!

I'm not ever sure the tube and buses are running that well. All my schools are closed today and tomorrow.  I should be working, getting caught up, but I can't seem to do it.

It was fun to watch my South African friend build her first snowman ever.

I guess it's only fair, when the friend with whom I am staying in London came to Colorado, it rained and rained like it never ever does. Turn about is fair play.

Snowing like mad in Northants.  About 6 inches on the ground now.  I left work (in Luton) at about 12:45.  Boy, am I glad I did.  The roads were awful!

A giant clump of wet snow fell on my head as I was unlocking my front door this evening. Fun!

There's maybe two inches in Newcastle. It snowed pretty regularly all day, though it's subsided now. Fortunately the trains weren't delayed at all, so mostly I just enjoyed the (very cold) novelty.

There's been very little snow to speak of here yet, just some light falls during the day, not even enough to blanket the ground.   It's now turned to just wind and rain.

It's pretty white here at the moment, but only like an inch deep, if that.

It's not horrific (for a midwesterner) here in York at the moment, but we could get up to 12 inches tomorrow.  And guess what, they still expect us into work tomorrow!
