Yep, plenty cold here.  We had a little bit of snow on Monday, but not enough to call off the first day back at school, much to my son's disappointment.  I'd like it to snow a little more but I know that probably won't happen.

So, am I the only one who didn't think it was that cold?

I spent 5 years in Buffalo New York, now thats cold!! I found the weather cold, but just the kind of weather I really like! I also love it when we have those freezing cold days with lots of low fog. I just like cold weather!

No....

i've not been watching the news lately, so didn't even know there was a 'deep freeze' anywhere.  It's certainly no colder than normal here...

Well, I'm just coming from 30 years in Rhode Island -- where it is generally a good deal colder than this in Winter -- and I'm COLD here in the Southeast. It's damp, it's windy and the house isn't really up to it. I'll take the warmer weather next week and thank you, even if it is supposed to come with a buttload of rain and wind.

Nope, posted above that we didn't know what all the fuss was about ...

Though my friends in Miami said it was 59 today and they were all frozen, so it is all relative!!!  ;D

My knees have been aching for the last two nights!  That's how I know it's damp and cold.

The days have been pretty manageable, but maybe that's why I'm in the SW and not the North  ;D

We have a bedwarmer that has a "pre-heat" setting, so if you turn it on about a half hour before you want to go to bed, you have a nice toasty bed to get into!

Dude, that is luxury itself. The radiator in our bedroom is broken so it's sub zero temps in that room.

Oof. We built up a roaring coal fire last night and started a chimney fire. We got it out before we burned the whole house down, but it's no more fires until we can get the sweeps in...and we don't have them booked until Thursday. The central heatings kind of crap, but it'll have to do for a while.

I don't know what's going to be harder to endure without the fire: the cold weekend, or the warm, wet gale they're predicting for next week.

I suppose it is all relative - where exactly you are and what you're used to. I've never ever seen snow not only settle but stick around for 2 or 3 days here but it has this week! Not a lot mind, but more than a dusting. And this morning the windscreen was frozen so hard that the ice scraper wouldn't even touch it. It's definitely been the coldest week I've experienced here.

I like the cold as long as it's clear or snowing but I hate the freezing fog or the just endless grey. The sun is just coming out now, so I'm going to wrap up and take a bit of a lunchtime jaunt! :D

Geez - it's back again!  :(  They were saying on the news the other night that this winter has been the coldest on record here for 10 years.  :o  I want some global warming, NOW! (joking!!)  :P

It's freezing here but quite sunny at the moment. I was planning on working from home tomorrow anyway but now i'm extra glad 'cause even a dusting seems to cause travel chaos! It's supposed to be pretty heavy, we'll see!

I'm looking forward to spring in a big way.

Still just cloudy, breezy and cold here in Derby...though skies getting more grey by the moment. Fingers crossed...I want a total blizzard! Ok call me nuts, but I love snow. Just as long as DH can make it home when he closes the shop at 4!
