The weather in the U.S. seems to have been a little crazy. A few days ago after hearing about unusually warm days in northern California and then stories from a friend in Virginia about how cold it's been, I looked at one of the weather sites and it was showing that pretty much the whole eastern third of the country was anything up to 20 degrees
below average for the time of year, while vast swathes of the western Midwest, northern plains, southwest, and California coast were all well
above average. Western Nebraska was showing as much as 25 degrees above the norm for January.
As for where I am in England, we've had a few light frosts in the last week or two, but interspersed with several very bright, sunny days too. It's just started snowing lightly in northeast Norfolk a few minutes ago.
