American Idol 2009!!!!![SPOILERS AFTER FRIDAY NIGHTS SHOW]

Okay, I'll admit that I'm only now getting around to watching this weeks shows.  My thoughts:

Lil: She was okay.  Needs to work on her stage presence.  Simon was right, though.  She looked horrible.
Blind guy:  Blah.  Oh, and will someone PLEASE get that boy a hair cut?  Thanks.
Danny Milwaukee: Not bad.  A bit shouty, maybe.  He's a bit too aware of the cameras for so early in the show, though.
Big Dude:  He's dead the second he's got to do something pop-y or dance-y.
Jasmine:  I dislike her profusely.  No reason why, I just do.
Kris:  He blew it with the wife.  He's a tween dream, and now there's no chance for him in the long run.  I'm with Melissa on the weird mouth thing.
Allison:  I really like her.  She's the only contestant who acts her age.
Anoop:  He's Anoop.  I can't figure out his appeal.  I mean, he can sing okay, but he's nothing special.
Puerto Rico guy:  Not a fan.  Never have been.
Megan:  Want heavy things to fall on her head.
Adam Jonas:  Do you think he knows how stupid he looks?  Oh, and he's shrieky, and not in a good way.
Piano guy:  He reminds me of someone, but I can't think of who.  I'm afraid he's going to be the Brooke of this season and fail miserably when he comes out from behind the piano.
Dirty Diana:  She's trying way, way too hard.  If she'd dial it back a bit, I think I'd like her better.

Hmm.  They've announced next week is country week with Randy Travis as mentor.  I don't think I could name a single Randy Travis song if my life depended on it!

I can't remember where I saw them, but the only celeb goss sites I look at regularly are DListed, OhNoTheyDidnt! and TMZ - so it must have been on one of those. I can't go and search now because I'm scared of reading some Idol scoop - I'm watching the results show tonight in the UK! Sorry!

I don't know why I got so excited.  Those are awful!  Miss Ru would NOT approve.

I totally agree with you (Abby Normal) about Megan.  I don't get her at all.  Frankly if I had to pick between her or Jasmine going home.  Megan would have been the one packing her bags.  Many of you don't like Adam, but I really liked his performance.  I also liked Allison, Danny and Lil.  Lil can sing her ass off, but she does need to work on wardrobe and stage presence.  I was an Anoop fan, but he is going to have to "bring it "  next week.

Pleeeeeease, no spoilers until after it airs in the UK!! I read this just before watching it here and it sort of ruined things for me.

I didn't even know AI was showing on a delay there. I was wondering how you were watching it! It's kind of good to know I am safe opening this thread anyway, since I usually watch it later since I can't watch it when it's on. Plus, it's easier to watch without all the adverts (2 hours for a 30 min show? Really!) Do they edit all that crap out for you over there? Just curious.

And what do you think of the new judges having a say twist? I like it personally. Glad Jasmine's gone. She shouldn't have come back.

We get the singing shows on Thursday in the UK.

The results are 9-10PM on Friday.  So I think it's safe to discuss things at 5PM Eastern time   (6PM till 29 March when we change our clocks back)

I always find out the results by accident.  This week Gmail had the two going out in the web clips.  I don't mind though

I don't either, but actually, country music is the genre that sells the most in the US.
