American Idol 2009!!!!![SPOILERS AFTER FRIDAY NIGHTS SHOW]

I wasn't thrilled with anyone this week, mostly because all of them (save for one) picked absolutely AWFUL songs.  70+ years of sound films, and that was the best they could do?  Blurgh.

Allison picked a song that was so completely wrong for her.  If you can't sing like Steven Tyler, you shouldn't pick an Aerosmith song.  And if you CAN sing like him, you should never pick that song.  Ick.

I will admit that I don't hate the song Anoop sang, although I also admit that it's a pretty lame song.  That being said, I think it was a good performance.  Now, if he'll stop dressing like "College Student #2" from Central Casting, I'll be happy.

I absolutely loved Adam last week (even bought the song!), but this week he was back to his annoying Las Vegas ways.  Boo.

I still don't like Matt.  I have no reason for it, but I don't.  Plus, I hate, hate, hate that song.

Danny should be smacked upside the head for singing that song.  I fast-forwarded through the whole thing, so I have no clue if it was good or bad.

Kris... annoys me a bit.  I really like his choice of song, though.

Little is dead to me.  I'm done with her.  Hopefully I won't have to listen to her sing next week.

I agree. I didn't like any of the songs that were chosen. I HATE Bryan Adams. Bleh! And I have always hated Born to be Wild, as well, and all that screeching... JESUS. Make it stop! Adam did my head in.

I would've swooned if anyone had chosen to cover "Miss Misery" by Elliott Smith from
Good Will Hunting, but I never expected that would happen.  Not a very "show-off your voice" kind of song, I guess. I would've smiled if anyone had covered "Nobody Does it Better" by Carly Simon. I admit I do love me some Carly. At least no one did Celine Dion. I guess that was one good thing about it.

I do think Anoop is cute for some reason, though. He looks innocent, and well, normal. His voice is nice, but not really special, I don't suppose. Anyway, I still hate Bryan Adams!
I do like Allison's voice a lot, just hate that song she chose. If I had to pick a winner, I think she would be the one.

How would you dress him? Just curious. I mean, he couldn't pull off a real rocker outfit. I didn't think the jacket was bad this week, but it would have been better with a black T-shirt, rather than the whole shirt and tie thing.

I think she'll go tonight. I know some of you have already seen it, but that's my prediction.

It looked like Simon was pressured by Kara and Paula to save him.  I was in total agreement with Simon.  I wouldn't have saved him.

I love that Simon told him that he wasn't going to win anyway. Exactly what I thought!

I thought everyone was pretty boring, TBH, even my beloved Adam. I'm really looking forward to see what he does for disco week. Also, if Lil can't pull something out during disco week, she should be ashamed of herself.

She actually stands an OK chance of not sucking completely at Disco Week ... which is why I'm doubly annoyed she didn't go home this week.

It's the shirt and tie thing.  It was cute the first couple of times he did it, but now it's almost like a costume.  I'd like to see less jackets, maybe a simple button down shirt with a bit of detail on it.  Even a sweater would be okay.  Just no more ties!

Barring some sort of miracle, I have no hope for her next week.  I don't think she's got it in her at all.

I don't get the allure of Danny.  Every one of his perfomances is exactly the same IMO.  I really don't the sexy voice bit

Pretty much agree with everything here.  I kind of liked Adam's take on the song, but not enough to make me want to vote or anything.  The shrieky thing is getting old.  Really old.  I like him when he doesn't channel Axl Rose circa 1988.
