I was trying to estimate, as I don't know what exactly other montly expenses might be, so I would think it'd be another 100 pounds, give or take for utilities, tax, etc. Which still seemed fair, but it's just hard for me to judge without the experience of living here. I just didn't want to put myself in a position where I'm just waiting for the paycheck to drop in every month, you know?
I do have some savings from the US which will be a nice buffer in the beginning, but I was just thinking about 6 months down the line.

I mean, I know I'll spend on food and such, but I spent some time here a month back and was able to get an estimate on what I would be spending on food and going out. It wasn't a ton, I don't know if that's a reflection of getting older, or just preferring food I cook for myself.
