The Chicago Theater is a gorgeous place to enjoy a show.

Not sure if this is your cup of tea, but if so, the CSO has never disappointed...looking at the June schedule, if you're a Dvořák fan you're in luck!

Man, I really want to go back to Chicago now.
If we called them Sad Meals, no one would buy them.

'Baby clothes.'
'This place has got everything!'

No discussion of Chicago would be complete without a few Blues Brothers references! ;)

Oh, don't stop!  You've got five months to work the entire script into this thread in a passingly relevant way.

And when that is done, we start on 'The Untouchables'!!!

So you'd better think...  :P

You can try to catch a Steppenwolf show!

http://www.steppenwolf.org/

Or Second City.

http://www.secondcity.com/
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

in 5 months will be june
I lived inside the loop, just talking about it makes me miss home!

-the fireworks every wednesday and saturday will have started at the pier
most nights there are concerts in the park
free trolleys for them or if your hotel is in the loop you can walk
-I don't want to sound overly American but Chicago is also famous for their hot dogs too!  You should never leave Chicago without eating one.... unless you're a vegetarian :(
-There are many TV and radio shows going on all around Chicago and if you book in advance you can get in for free!!!
-You can never get enough shopping done in chicago!  If you are renting a car, there is a really large outlet mall
-On a clear day if you want to see all of chicago I going to the Hancock tower (rather than Sears) but don't go to the observation deck and pay for only the view.  Head up to the signature room and get a drink at the bar so you get the view for free....the lunch meals there are quite nice

I am :(  Dan isn't, and has already been going on about these!

We tried to book Jerry Springer, but he's not recording in the summer.

Thanks for the tip on the bar.

Be sure to check out Buckingham Fountain while you're there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckingham_Fountain

Of course, every time I see it I get the theme from Married With Children in my head.

Hello,

The only things I can think of that have not been mentioned would be to see a game at iconic Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, go to eat at the downtown Shaw's Crab House, and if you like steak visit Don Shula's steak house.  If you enjoy roller coaster/amusement park experiences there is a Six Flags in the suburbs.
