Hello, Im new here to this site, have been in the UK for almost 8 years. I am from Oklahoma, and living in Redditch. I noticed "JessicaKate" is another American in this town. How do we meet other Americans in our area? Are there any groups that I dont know about? Thanks very much for your kindness:)
I love my British sweetheart :)

Look up a facebook group called Midland Yanks.

For anyone in the Birmingham and Midlands area, Birmingham Bobcats Softball club is beginining the 2011 campaign next week, and we always are looking for more players to come along.  It's a co-ed adult slowpitch recreational team that travels around the country playing one-day tournaments and also a small league against Coventry and Leamington.

Anyone who is interested let me know :)

Other than that, anyone planning any meetups this year?  Anyone want to do something for July 4?

Hi Steffbunny, we would certainly consider it as the kids last day of school is April 8th until whenever it is when they go back.;) And definately a family friendly area would be ideal for us.:)

I'd be down for that.  Can I suggest Cannon Hill?  It's got a few play areas and in the spring & summer is always bustling with rides and things for kids.  Plus there's the giant picnic area near the pond.

I would be up for a picnic in the park as long as it is a weekend and a day that I have nothing planned. I don't have a husband/partner, kids or dogs, though, so I hope that would be ok.

Hey guys,

I'm not actually American (I'm a Brit), but I will be moving to Shropshire in a couple of weeks for 4 months of on-the-job training near Shrewsbury - I won't know anyone up there (apart from the people I'll be working with, but everyone in the office is male and at least 10 years older than me), so if anyone fancies meeting up at all, that would be great :).

Hi Steff although it sounds like a nice park that's over a good thirty miles away from us and even though we would enjoy a day out I was expecting it to be a bit more local to Birmingham and I'm not sure we could make it.
