Birmingham/Dudley - Any Meetups on the Horizon?

Yay! I've been terribly homesick and lonely the last few weeks and would love to hear some familliar accents! I've been here three months from Southern California and had no idea how hard being so far from home was going to be.  I'd love to come, i make a most excellent red velvet cake.

the august 27th picnic is postponed for a few weeks till things become a bit more settled in birmingham

anything happening yet?  it sounds like there are a lot of yanks out there and about and i haven't met any of you yet (as far as i know).  i am happy to meetup around merry hill or birmingham city (easy to take the train in).  anyone?

I live in Nuneaton and was wondering the same thing.  I am nearer to Coventry but have worked in Birmingham. I have been here for 2yrs and would love to met some of my fellow Americans.

I can meet in the beginning of Oct too. But, I have an appointment for ILR on the 6th. Mornings are good for me. One of my sons is only 3 so I have to pick him up from nursery at 11:45a. Unless u don't mind kids. Then anytime is fine. Coffee might be better if the weather stays so wet but I like picnics. We go to Hartshill-Hayes a lot w the dog. Let me know.

i am flexible but need to be able to get somewhere by train if it is in birmingham....so city centre would be best.......lunch or tea/coffee would be fine, picnic okay too if we have a warm sunny day....   

on one of our facebook groups they are asking for a get together so i mentioned that there were two more that would like to meet up ....... will keep you updated....if that dont work out we three can just meet up

next thursday meet up for lunch.............who can make it??
