Birmingham/Dudley - Any Meetups on the Horizon?

Would love to meet up with some fellow Americans....Just got my permanent residence visa, been here just over 2 years....

Hi, just moved to the Sutton Coldfield area of Birmingham (wife is from here) and would love to get out a bit. Working from home is not very conducive to meeting people. If anyone wants to meet up sometime I am in.

I'm going to be really close to Dudley and Birmingham!! Yay!   
Once I get back to the UK, I will be living in Gloucester! I would love to go to a meet up if one is ever organized! When I was in the UK for 5 months I found myself stuck in the flat because I couldn't work and ended up depressed because I didn't know anyone and couldn't really go out!

When: Sunday 21st November, 2:30pm
Where: Starbucks, New Street, Birmingham city centre

I will be downstairs enjoying a beverage and if anyone would like to join me, it would be great to see you there!

Totally in if I get my visa before then (holy smokes I sure do hope so)! We live in Harborne, south of the city. Can't wait to meet some of you crazy yanks.

Going to try and make Starbucks...My mom just flew in this past weekend, haven't seen her in a year and a half....So nice having another American accent in the house...She will still be here then maybe I can bring her along...

I'll try to make that as well    Do you mean the Starbucks in that mall above New Street station or one actually ON New Street?

bairn the second is due on 26 november, so the likelihood of me waddling into starbucks & tossing back a chai latte with you lot is slim to none!

Well I haven't stepped into a Starbucks in about 5 years, but I'll make an exception to have some American time!!!! I'll be bringing the hubby though, hope that's ok.    Can't wait!!!!!!

The German Christmas Market will also be happening at that time...a great opportunity to have a drink at Starbucks and then tour the market...

Glad there's so much interest thus far!! I'm talking about the Starbucks on New Street itself as there should be more room there. I hadn't thought of the Christmas market - sounds like a great post-beverage excursion if people are interested.

I've been here for three years and have only met ONE American that entire time! And I've lived in Stourbridge and Solihull!
