I'm from a tiny town in Clay County, in the general region of Terre Haute. We visited Indiana recently and it does not seem to have changed much since I've been gone, which is sort of comforting (in a way)!

I know where Terre Haute is I have been through there several times.   ;)  :)

Hey, good point...I don't think I've got an American flag around, but to be noticeable at the beginning I will wear (or have on the table if it gets too warm in there) this raccoon hat:

(No, I did not realize I was in the children's section when I bought that, but it stretches).

EDIT: In addition to not being aged 7-10, I'm not a boy either - I'm female and will probably have a blue coat on.

I am so terribly sorry that I probably not be able to meet with everyone today.  An unexpected event has interrupted my plans for a trip into Birmingham today.  I hope everyone has a grand time.

I went but wasn't sure who you all were! I tried to listen to everyone talk but I didn't want anyone to think I was just some creep eavesdropping on their conversations :-) Maybe next time...

I pretty much had the same thing as cabbott. Went in and sat upstairs and downstairs for a bit and tried to figure out who in Starbucks might be speaking with the Yankee twang, but alas I did not succeed. Hopefully next time will be a little more successful.

The unexpected event of today was cancelled, and we did go to Starbucks.  Ditto beggse and cabbott.  I'll bet the three of us saw one another.  Let's try this again and do better.

Sorry everyone!!! There must be a better way to identify ourselves that can be used for next time. Apologies also to anyone who was looking for the raccoon hat and blue coat - I put in an awesome performance by showing up half an hour late after spending at least that amount of time in barely-moving traffic in the city centre (and we usually have no problem driving in). Not sure if there was an event going on or what.

It was great to hang out with those of you who did find each other and I hope we can figure out a better method for another meet-up soon!

Oh that sucks that you guys couldn't find us. There were about six of us in the back downstairs. It was nice chatting with those of you that I did meet though. Anyone up for drinks in a few weeks?

It was super noisy in Starbuck wasn't it?  Sorry for those of you who missed us! We were downstairs and round the corner.

Had a good time and really enjoyed meeting you and your other halves JessicaKate, Hoosierific and Lewi.

Can't wait for the next one Jess?  You said you were hosting it!  Or was that the Gluhwein talking? ;-)

I'm really disappointed that I didn't get to go to the meet up!  :( I was so looking forward to it! At the moment we are a bit strapped for cash, and I am still waiting on my NI # so I can apply for some jobs! For all who went to the one that just passed, if you are interested I would like to set up a meet up more near Gloucester...say Cheltenham Town Centre? I want to make it for sometime after Christmas that way I should have a job and money to get on a coach/bus and I figure more people will be free in January, or at least I hope. So if I may I will set the date for Saturday, January 23rd 2011 at 3pm. Location again will be a Starbucks, just because they seem real easy to find! :) Here is the address:

1 Promenade
Cheltenham, Gloucestershire GL50 1LN

And for the people whom went to the last can give ideas on what we could do?
