Fleetwood Mac 2009 Tour
« on: February 01, 2009, 03:17:05 AM »
This is streight from my blog. James is my step-dad

So James has been asking me what Mom wants for her Birthday and we couldn't come up with anything. A few days ago Mom commented that Fleetwood Mac was going on Tour this year and she'd love to go but couldn't/wouldn't spend $150 on horrible seats. She refuses to go to concerts if they are bad seats (i.e - not floor seats) lol. We'll James decided he'd get her tickets to see them for her Birthday and it must have been meant to be because the concert falls on her Birthday...May 31st.

So today, James says "find a way to ask your mom what seat she'd like". There was 2 different types of seating left either floor or something above the floor but not too high. We'll I came up with a little lie to get her opinion on what she'd prefer. I told her Brenna (my best friend) was going to the Ludacris Concert at the Sports Arena and since she's gone to so many concerts I wanted her opinion on which seat would be best. LOL she kept telling me the ones that were off the floor were best for Brenna because it would be higher up and she'd be able to see better (she's short). Then she went on to say that her friend is going to see Motle Crue at the Sports Arena and she'd only see that concert on the floor. So...that told us that she wouldn't want to see Fleetwood Mac unless she could be close.

Mom and I left to watch Mall Cop and James purchased the tickets...one for me and one for her!!!! We got home, mom dropped me off and went to the store. James told me to check my email and the tickets were there. Mom got home and James said "check your email I sent you a funny forward"...she took her time getting too it and finally did but before she opened it she said "should I turn my sound up" LOL, we said yes. She opened it and saw it said "Fleetwood" on the attachment and she goes "Is it about Fleetwood Mac? " and we said "yeah it's a funny thing about them". She opened it and looked really confused. She started reading it outloud

"Ticket #1 for Fleetwood Mac"
...........................*confused silence*................................

"I don't get it...what's funny?" lol

James goes "zoom in and scroll down"

She zoomed in and goes "I don't get it... "
................................*confused silence*..........................................

lol we sat there laughing so hard because she's looking at her own tickets to the concert and doesn't get it.

She goes "OH MY GOD ARE THESE TICKETS TO THE CONCERT!?" and we said "Yes" and she goes "OH MY GOD ARE YOU SERIOUS!? " and went all crazy "omg are you serious?" "no you're not serious!" "you're joking!" "omg, omg, omg"

lol then she got up really quickly and looked serious and James goes "are you gonna hit me?" haha...she looked seriously freaked! She is so excited! It's been her dream to see them. She's seen Stevie Nicks in concert but never thought she'd ever see them.

The light blue D is the section were sitting in...The picture to the right is what it looks like from the section.

One of my favorite bands EVER!  I went to see them on their last tour...5-6 years ago.  And funny enough I went with my mom and a friend.   It was great.  I have never seen so many Stevie Nicks wannabees in one place ever.  Enjoy the show, they are a great band.

One of mine too!  :D

I have not had the pleasure to see them live.  I did however pay a large sum of money to see their world famous tribute act.  The Stevie Nicks singer was spot on!...still..not the same as the real thing  :(

Break The Chain and Gypsy  are my fave songs!

Am I the only one who thinks that Stevie Nicks made Fleetwood Mac a bit sh1t?  They were much better in the '60's when they were a blues band under Peter Green.

Haha same with my mom. I wouldn't say they are my favorite band ever, I like them alot and I grew up on them. I'm thrilled to be able to see them. They are one of those bands from that era that you only dream of seeing before they stop touring. I feel lucky! I'm very excited and can't wait!!!

LOL I can only imagine the wannabe "witches" lol...as soon as my mom found out she was going she said she has to get new clothes. I assume that means something dark, "flowy" and velvet haha.  :P ::)

*closes her mothers ears* haha  :P

I don't know. I quite love her voice it's very raspy and not your typical run of the mill type of voice. I've heard them before and they were good but I guess I just prefer them with her. You arn't the first person I've seen say that before though but the majority of people I know that love them love her.
