Whatcha giving up this year?
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

Oh no, just realised I have to go to the dentist for fillings on Pancake Day :(!

Good news though is that I'll be back at my parents' house  that day (I'm still registered with the dentist in my home town) so I'll get to be at home for family pancakes in the evening :).

Last year I tried to give up smoking...that lasted until Arsenal played Man Utd in the Cup... and I also stopped eating fish.  Dan went completely veg.  I may try the same again.

The good news is that we bought a big bottle of maple syrup at the weekend.

 ;D

I don't want to give up smoking pr chocolate...so thats out. :-\\\\  I might give up Brad Pitt for lent  ;D

I might try savoury pancakes this year.  I had a really nice chicken and tarragon crepe recently when eating out and it was scrummy  :P I might try and copy the idea for home.

I will be American style pancakes with Aunt Jemima syrup  ;D  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]  Dh isn't keen on my kind of pancakes so if he has any pancakes it will be the UK kind. We wont be having our pancakes on Pancake Day though because my Dietitian apt is 2 days later I'm getting weighed I need all the help I can get lol. ;) I'm supposed to have lost 8 lbs by then I don't see it happening ::) I will be ok with staying the same bonus points if I lose even 2 lbs lol. ;D so we will have ours Feb 26th Dh said he didn't mind waiting. :)

Ooh, I like really think American-style pancakes.  DH makes them quite thin...more like crepes.  We agree on pretty much everything else.

And since this is a pancake thread, WHY DID COSTCO STOP CARRYING MAPLE SYRUP?!  DH went to restock our syrup stash a while back and they were completely gone.  He wrote an email to corporate about it, got some ridiculous form letter response back and still no syrup!  What gives, Costco?

Ha!  I pretty much just posted exactly the same thing.  We need to retrain our DHs.

I have retrained Dh on some of my American food choices  ;D  but I don't think I can change Dh's mind on American style pancakes though that's not from the lack of not trying though lol.   ::)
