My tooth update:  After taking x-rays my dentists decided all my tooth needed was stabilizing and not a new crown after all (thank goodness!)  My 14-year old crown leaking as kate_mate's was.  Because of that there had been some decay and it no longer was a good fit.  My dentist cleaned everything out and put a liquid solution in which hardened and filled in any gaps making it fit better.  So I'm good for now, anyway.

Mind you the reason I needed my 2 front teeth done was due to a freak accident
DS's best friend in high school was on the swim team and slipped on the wet tile at the pool and knocked his 2 front teeth out!  Someone salvaged them and they managed to re-implant them but he had to have root canals on them eventually.  Nightmarish.

Ooh gosh!  Having them pulled & getting dentures was one option they offered me.  When you're 14 and being given the option of dentures...  Not that great.  I took the double root canal.

DENTURES?! Are you SERIOUS?!

I had my appointment today for my snazzy gold crown...turns out, I ended up with just a large filling instead -- which is fine by me. He didn't even have to numb me, as the root canal took away any sense of pain. The whole process was less than 15 minutes and I was eating my tea an hour later.

It's so awesome to chew fully on the right side of my mouth again after nine months!!

Thanks!  For now anyway.....deep down I'm hoping it's not just a "band-aid" solution though.
