My mom sends me Annie's mac & cheese. I like to make homemade, too. But there IS something, maybe mostly nostalgia, about Kraft mac and cheese. And I never bought it when I was living on my own in the States.
HOWEVER, the VILE, VILE "macaroni cheese" in the UK is saddening. Like someone else, I tried to fancy it up all sorts of ways... but it is still dreadful. My husband says it's the Brit's relationship to tinned food because of the war that keeps it going, haw. It's just... so wrong. The macaroni is so, so mushy and the sauce has no kick, nothing... it's just horrible, evil sloop (I don't know what a sloop is, I think I just made it up... but it about fits its consistency.) It also has a slight tin-y aftertaste. Blehg.
If your offer is still standing, can I paypal you some money for some kraft macaroni AND cheese?

(After payday, of course!)
