When you say you have solved the Kraft Mac n Cheese problem...

Has there been no Kraft Brand Mac n Cheese until now? (medium problem for me)

Or no Mac n Cheese available at all until now? (colossal problem for me).  :\\\'(

I pride my skills, developed in college, of making even the cheapest, generic Mac n Cheese taste great.  I think it's a harder skill than making Filet Mignon.  My kids think I am a wizard and I'd hate to lose that ability.  :)

You'll have your work cut out for you with macaroni cheese, as they call it here.  My MIL gets it in a can, and it's really awful.  Flavorless sauce and mushy macs.  I've tried putting extra cheese on it, putting potato chips on it, ketchup, even having it on toast.  Nothing doing, it's absolutely irredeemable.

I like to make my own mac n cheese, but there's something about the bright orange goodness of Kraft that you just don't find anywhere else   :P

Yuck! Chef Boyardee makes mac n cheese in a can in the US.  I brought some with me camping and it made me want to go hunt deer for the first time in life instead of eating it.

Lol, I always have a few boxes of this in my cupboard....I don't really like it though, I prefer home made mac & cheese, unfortunately my 3 year old likes it. And for some reason, when I am home sick, its the first thing I want to eat!

When I was in the US, I loved Stauffers mac and cheese. Findus is a reasonable substitute. And much better than the canned stuff (which is godawful.)
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

Snap!!

Honestly... it's like one of the easiest things in the world to make from scratch and it's SO much nicer. And not full of chemicals and fake flavours!!!

ETA: I will say that I don't mind Annie's, and have been known to bring a few boxes of that back with me when I visit, but only because it's nice comfort food for weekend lunches sometimes when you don't feel like actually cooking....

Every time I'm back in the states, I have a couple of Vermont Cheddar Powder sent to my folks' house from King Arthur Flour. It's fantastic, and just like the stuff you get in the Annie's box, except it's a huge amount!

http://www.kingarthurflour.com/shop-home-b.html

you'll find it if you search for "cheese"...

That's a fabulous idea Gershamabob!  It is the crappy, powdered cheese I'll miss.  Macaroni noodles are pretty much universal but the powdered cheese isn't.  It will be alot easier to ship just the powder than all the boxes. Thanks!

AnneR, I know it's probably better from scratch but the powder is just one of those tastes instilled from childhood.  I always drink diet soft drinks because of the taste.  My parents only gave us diet because it wasn't sticky when we spilled it.  Not saying it's right though.

I used to view homemade mac and cheese and Kraft Dinner as two very different foods.  I know Mr. A. might be interested in a box or two so I can make him hotdogs and mac and cheese.

What do they charge per box?

Have you tried Batchelor's Pasta 'n' Sauce brand? They do a macaroni cheese. It's in a packet, add some milk and water.

£1 which is far cheaper than ebay, shipping it from an online shop or the local Howell's.

My mom sends me Annie's mac & cheese. I like to make homemade, too. But there IS something, maybe mostly nostalgia, about Kraft mac and cheese. And I never bought it when I was living on my own in the States.

HOWEVER, the VILE, VILE "macaroni cheese" in the UK is saddening. Like someone else, I tried to fancy it up all sorts of ways... but it is still dreadful. My husband says it's the Brit's relationship to tinned food because of the war that keeps it going, haw. It's just... so wrong. The macaroni is so, so mushy and the sauce has no kick, nothing... it's just horrible, evil sloop (I don't know what a sloop is, I think I just made it up... but it about fits its consistency.) It also has a slight tin-y aftertaste. Blehg.

If your offer is still standing, can I paypal you some money for some kraft macaroni AND cheese?  ;)  ;D  (After payday, of course!)
