I know I've slagged her off in the past, but I feel sorry for her now. However annoying she may have been, I don't think she deserves what has happened. The tabloid front pages are very tasteless.

We were talking about her today and about how terribly sorry we feel for her. She's so very young. I'm now suffering from awful 'Goody Guilt' - when the news of her cancer first broke, I was convinced it was a media ploy to drum up sympathy in the wake of Poppadumgate.   :-\\\\

That's how I feel. However, I don't think it will stop me having outbreaks of righteous indignation in the future.

I've been meaning to post about this for a while... I just think it is so sad. I watched her show recently and her 2 little boys are so sweet and cute. To think of them without a mummy is really heartbreaking.

I was sent a email today, making ladies aware that you should always get checked out by the doctor....Both these clips had me crying my eyes out....you wouldn't wish anything like that on your worse enemy....Don't watch these clips you feel a little fragile today..

I'm glad someone posted about this. Yes, I've always thought she was seriously lacking in the intellect department. And she's done some massively stupid things. But from the day BB accepted her as a contestant, she's been used - both willingly and unwillingly. I've got Goody Guilt, too.

She needs to be left alone now so she and her family can be together and she can die in peace (assuming the news is correct that there really is no hope).

I just get so upset when I hear about death from cervical cancer. A friend of mine lost his sister to it. All she ever wanted from life was to be a mother and she never got the chance.

Sure puts things in perspective.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I am ridden with goody guilt too.  I have to say tho, Her friends and family must be extremely proud of her trying to teach people about this horrendous disease in the public eye.  No matter how dim she was in the past, what she is doing is very very admirable..and I wish her peace..we are after all, all human beings..and no one is untouchable..so fair play to the young lady.

Wonder what all the people who said it was all a publicity stunt are thinking now.   ???

Probably what I just said:

I also wonder what the housemates from when she was first in BB are all thinking about themselves too.  They really ridiculled her on the show, especially PJ....

I feel desperately sorry for her and her family.

Same here.  Good on her for speaking out to raise awareness of the importance of getting regular checks - no-one deserves to have their life cut short at such a young age.

Her story really hit a spot in me. I had a LEEP procedure done yesterday to remove severe cell dysplasia in my cervix. My doctor said in six months it would have been cancer. I know they say that cervical cancer is a slow-growing cancer, but the strength of your immune system and time of detection have a lot to do with it. Apparently, my immune system is not up to par, as the dysplasia has been quite aggressive in a short amount of time. I hope more women realize the importance of regular screenings.

I wish all the best for her family.

I haven't had a smear test since I moved here (almost three years) and this story has made me realise how stupid I've been not to get one.  My appointment is next week.

I feel sorry for her and her family.  :(
