Good call, that was pretty shocking!

I can't believe i'm going to admit it, because I adore LOST (and I adore sayid/ naveen andrews even more... mrawr!! he's so sexy!) but I'm getting a little put-off by the show. It's just not as good as it used to be and it just keeps getting more weird and complex that it's almost hard to enjoy. It's no wonder they are losing fans + can't gain any new ones. You need to have seen every episode ever made (WHICH I HAVE!!!) to understand the show, and even then I forget little details which later are important. I'm not giving up yet though!

I was put off (but kept watching) until this last season.

I was a bit frustrated with this last episode, as it seemed a little too simply constructed - bring Dan back to explain some stuff, but not all, give his back story, then kill him.


By the time the reveals were... revealed, they were easily guessed (Ellie being his mom, Charles being his dad, etc.).  Still interesting but nothing jaw-dropping.

Now let's see how "Jim" et al. get away...

My husband reads stuff about Lost constantly (obsessed much) and he says that the person who died in this episode (no spoilers) is dead, no going back in time, no stopping future actions etc etc, he is dead. Proper dead.

Correct.  The one where Daniel dies at the end was the last one we saw.

Me too.  I was hoping he'd be more instrumental in getting everyone back ... on track... whatever that eventually means for everyone!

I love Juliet and Sawyer (I know I'm in the minority as Juliet is one of my faves.) but the look on her face when Kate got on board the sub was *priceless.*

My husband and I were hysterical at that crappy sub, it looked like something off of the Teletubbies. It was terrible. The girl who plays Juliet is a brilliant actress, she can say it all without saying anything. She is great. Everyone is great, I ruddy love Lost!
