Yeah there's not many episodes left, but the finale is now 2.5hrs instead of 2! woop!

And I was on the edge of my seat for most of this week's episode... Biting my tongue until it airs here!  :-X

Ooh I know! On both counts!! I'm sad there are only a couple episodes left now. :(

I know I have been really down on this show and thought the last 10 or so episodes didn't really make sense.  I don't really like fake Locke and I don't like the turn they have taken that some unexplained being with somewhat limitless powers is running the show.  I have felt it was weak story telling.

With all that said, I was extremely moved by this week's episode.  It reminded me of the characters I love and, like with all good characters, you just want the best for them.  I didn't quite appreciate that this may just boil down to being alive.  So from now until the end, I don't care if someone doesn't end up with a perfect ending.  I just want them to be alive, even in their flawed worlds.  And that even includes Kate (which I never imagined saying).  And I never want to see Hurley sob like that again.  It is like watching your mom cry -- heartbreaking.

This probably all sounds a bit cheesy and I usually have no problem with shows taking risks -- killing popular characters or going with unpopular unhappy endings.  But at this point, can Hurley, Kate, Sawyer, Jack and Desmond just stay alive?  (PS Claire doesn't count, she still annoys me.)

Awww... it was so sad to see Sun and Jin die, especially since they were just reunited. I didn't see that coming. And it truly was heartbreaking to see Hurley cry. He's the most lovable character on the show, for me.  :\\\'(

Yeah, somehow watching Sayid die wasn't half as bad, since he already died once and because this time he was doing it to save his friends..  :\\\'(

But Jin and Sun just brought back memories of Charlie's death and "Not Penny's boat". Oh, it seemed like such a more innocent Island back then!

It reminded me  a lot of Titanic  and all I kept thinking was ...who will take care of their  daughter??!!  :\\\'( :\\\'(

Really mad at this week's episode.  With 2 to go, it seems like such a waste.

My BF and I felt the same way.  It was nice to find out what their relationship was and all that, and to find out more about the island, but I feel like that episode should have been aired earlier in the season.  It kind of killed the momentum...

Agree with you guys on that one. It was useful and all, but I felt like I was watching something totally unrelated to the rest of the characters. Hmmm.  :-\\\\

I wish it was earlier in the season, too, but I like that we got to see the origin of the smoke monster and finally wrap up who Adam & Eve were (though C'MON, we really didn't have to see the giant, over-the-top flashback to season one. duh! They assume we can make connections the whole way through this show, and then to suddenly treat the viewer like we're idiots is a bit much!).

I was hoping they wouldn't make us wait till Friday, blah!

On a side note, the washington post has a fun lost poll going...

n a way, the "Lost" island -- with its cliques, secret crushes and occasionally long-winded lessons about physics -- has always been a little like high school. So with the series coming to an end, what better way to honor our favorite characters than by selecting "Lost" superlatives?

Vote for the Lostie who most deserves each of the titles below, then come back on Monday, May 24 -- the day after the "Lost" finale -- to see who was selected as the winner in each category. And if the high school yearbook vibe moves you to print out this page so the Smoke Monster can sign it -- "Have a hot summer, but keep cool. Love, Smokey" -- by all means, be our guest.
