Aw.  Boo.  :(

I'm finally getting around to possibly joining.  I won't be coming to next weeks do, but I might be able to do the next one - if I could just find out the book & when.   ;)  I'll keep my eyes open to find out more.  Have fun next Saturday!

Yaye - welcome!  The April book is as Meg indicated.  We are waiting to see if Persephone comes up with a good venue for us in York (for April) as we've not met there yet & would like to!  (if York doesn't work out, then it'll probably be Harrogate again for April)

I just started the book last night so I hope I finish it in time.  I'm excited about meeting you all and I will try to come up with some good books to put up for nomination.

Looking forward to meeting you!

So far, we've got two book suggestions on the go - HME's Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates (maybe for August?), and I think cinbin has suggested She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb - possibly for May?

Still needing a couple more books for the summer!

So for Saturday's meeting here in Leeds, I've got the following people are coming:

Mrs Robinson
exjerseygirl
Meg
ExtraordinaryGeorgiaGirl - confirmed?
Janine
persephone - maybe?

I'm wondering about HME?  June Cleaver?  Andee?  Springhaze?

(We've got regrets from swelch2 & cinbin for the March meeting.)

I'm wondering about.....  Andee?

Well as you know, I haven't been reading the books since Wildfell Hall.  (I tried the Shopaholic one, but it didn't hold my interest.  However, not reading the books doesn't seem to be an impediment to coming to the meetings!  :D

I really want to catch up with all of you and I really want to meet those ladies whom I haven't met yet!  But...I am now taking a music class on Saturdays (we'll see how it goes, anyway) so for now I won't be making any Saturday meetings....

Open invitation for anyone traveling to Leeds from the North via train!

I am planning on taking the York-Leeds Northern Rail train that departs at Harrogate at 11:44.  If anyone wants to meet at Harrogate train station, please reply or PM me, otherwise I might just pick it up at Hornbeam Park (which is right down the street from me) at 11:47.

June, this train departs Weeton at 11:56.  Janine, the train departs Knaresborough station at 11:34, Persp & Meg (if you come via train from York) it leaves York at 11:11.

Train arrives at Leeds at 12:22 - I figured it was better to be earlier than later (next train is  Knaresborough-Leeds train that arrives at 12:52) to give us time to get to the cafe.

I'll be wearing a bright blue jacket with a long white scarf!

E, I'll meet you at Leeds station - I can get the 11:05 Transpennine direct from here, which gets in at 12:23.  If I wanted to change at York and get the same train as y'all, I'd have to get the 10:05 from here!  I love you, but I love sleep more! ;D

I'll stick my head out the window/door to try and find you - I'll plan to be at the rear of the train!

Yay, C - we'd love to have you!! :D  The book for April is Kate Colquhoun's Taste: The Story of Britain Through Its Cooking and the date is April 4th - location TBA but probably either York or Harrogate. :)

Cheers for that!  I've requested it from the library, so should have it soon - hopefully.   ;D  I'll keep a look out for where it ends up being.

Hi again!

I've not received any PMs to meet folks at the Harrogate train station, so unless someone writes to me within the next 36 hours I'll be grabbing the train at Hornbeam Park at 11:47.

Meg (and Persp. if you are coming!) - where do you want to meet at the train station?  Mrs. R - is it an easy walk from the station to the cafe?  I google mapped it, and Meg will have her (new and improved) Google phone, so we should be okay, I think.
