I'm really thirsty after reading this thread!

I mostly drink white or red wine, but have a real fondness for mojitos, margueritas and caipirinhas. Too bad I almost never get to drink them!

For beer I love Hoegaarden, (who can resist that name?!?) and Leffe. I miss the old Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout and Nut Brown Ale that I used to drink in San Francisco as well.

It seems I like most things alcoholic.  :)

I think we have similar tastes in beer!  I always love a nice coffee and baileys, it is like my liquid comfort food.   ;D

Damn..if I didn't have to work tonight I would be going to the off license right now....

My ultimate favorite drink is a Caipirinha. It's the national drink of Brazil and is wonderful during the summer. Oddly I first tried it at Oktoberfest. (I am a sinner..I know. Should have been drinking Paulaner or the like).

Beer wise- Sam Adams, Sierra Nevada, John Smiths and Chimay Bleu.
Guinness is only good in Ireland, it doesn't travel well.
Cider- I tend to drink more of these than lager, stouts or ales. More refreshing and most don't taste like crap. In America I recommend Hornsby's Original...in the UK...Bulmer's Pear is nice.

Wine. I come from wine country in Northern California. I love so many different variities there are too many to list. But I tend to like Bordeauxs and Pinot Grigo.
If anyone knows any wineries here that do tours hit me up.

Smith-icks.

Generally, a 'w' in the middle of a word should be ignored, unless it is part of a discernable other word such as 'wood' (as in 'Wytchwood', another fantastic ale).

Vicky

Over here, it's pronounced more like Smittick's lol.
