I sat in the town square and had a snack of M&S veggie samosa(OMG-so good!!!!) and prawn crackers while watching the world go by. I like people watching. Then I went to the post office and stood in an after bank holiday mile-long queue. Then went to Oxfam, bought 3 long sought after tops and some books. Yay!

Its 82 degrees and it going to be warmer tomorrow.

You mentioned siting and watching the orld go by.

I was visiting Crawley and I wanted to window shop and my wife was tired so I left her sitting on a bench in the shopping center and she was able to listen to a brass band When I came back to get her she was 'chuff'. She had never enjoyed something like that in her US.

I hope the band members knew how much thier music had been appreciated.

I'm going to work!

But I hope to go for a walk this evening in the park. I'm slowly reintroducing exercise after being sick for a month. I expect I'll be creaky.

J and I went for a 7 mile hike along the Great Glen Way (which heads around Loch Ness). It was lovely- until is started to pour  :P  but then the sun came back out.  It was quite some height we go to- excellent views.   :)

Yay JennBean and PB&J for using the sunny bits of rainy days!  I hope you'll share a photo or two of the Great Glen Way on the Rambling thread PB.  :)

That's on our list for our next visit.

I gazed longingly out of the window at the sunshine, and then I saw the trees almost double over in the wind and was content to stay in and do my research like a good girl.

The beginning of yesterday was sunny enough...so I went and played in my cricket game.  It was the first game where I played at wicket keeper (sorta like a catcher).  And it was fun.  I normally play in the field as I have a good arm, but our keeper left the team (moved).  I've been a catcher before so it made sense to move me there.  I'm sore today!  Unfortunately the sun did not remain and we had to abandon the game due to rain...so no win, lose or draw...but still fun! (And the other team had great teas so it was worth the 30 min travel!).

I met mapleleafgirl for coffee!  Then instead of taking the bus home I walked--a good part of it was along the canal.  Lots of lilacs, swans, ducks, and friendly dogs!

Yesterday when we got off work, we threw on some shorts and headed out. I walked through the meadow barefoot (hehe... haven't felt grass on my feet in a long time!) and then we walked around the harbour and the pier and just sat on a bench by the Little Shore taking in the sunshine for a bit. Yippeee!  ;D

We have been breaking in our new Weber BBQ!  Had a BBQ for some friends last weekend (just burgers & sausages).  Last night, souvlakia.  Tonight, steaks.  Tomorrow...?  :)

I wanted to buy this BBQ grill last 'summer', but we never had a spell of nice enough weather for any length of time, so I never ended up buying it.  This year, I threw all caution to the wind & look what happens!  :o
