Yesterday I mowed the lawn.  Today I pulled weeds on the patio, pruned a couple shrubs and planted my pots and hanging basket.  I hate gardening, but when the sun is shining it's not as bad.

We went to the park!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

We have been breaking in our new Weber BBQ!  Had a BBQ for some friends last weekend (just burgers & sausages).  Last night, souvlakia.  Tonight, steaks.  Tomorrow...?  :)

I wanted to buy this BBQ grill last 'summer', but we never had a spell of nice enough weather for any length of time, so I never ended up buying it.  This year, I threw all caution to the wind & look what happens!  :o

Hehe! And the burgers were yummy, too!  ;D

Thanks!  Our butcher is really good - that's why!  :)

Today, we'll be outside a lot - that's for sure!  DH is going to do some gardening & I might supervise the gardening & read.  ;)

Maybe another BBQ?  I want to do some ribs on the grill.  Yum!  :D

OH!  Maybe I'll make some iced tea or Pimms!  The possibilities are endless!  ;D

...I went for my usual run this morning but I swear I could feel my freckles popping out as I went!! I'm transplanting the last of my plants from the wheelhouse to their big containers, and then we're off to my friend's big birthday BBQ. I made iced tea last night in preparation. :D

Sorry, PB.  :( It was about 80 degrees here in Amble today... and even hotter when I went about 10 miles inland to Alnwick. The drive was amazing... I had both windows down and loved every minute, even though the tourists were out in abundance so I had to drive slower than I really wanted.  ;) Man, I love the musky sweet smell of the rapeseed fields on a warm day. We also rode our bikes all around the harbour and pier and visited the ice cream man, who clearly thought I was Australian because he called me Sheila.  :P

We walked to hubby's work to harvest some lettuce, etc. from the polytunnel.  Gorgeous day but the heat sucked the life out of me.  I guess being here over two years now I can't take the heat like I used to.

Definitely!!! I think the fields are gorgeous right now.

Well it was warm in the end, about 70ish and some fleeting sun, so that was nice.  Went down to the beach and there were dolphins playing!!!  :)

I sat in the churchyard where I volunteer and only really went into the church when I got too warm. Such a fab day.  If we get many more, I might actually become blond again!

Awesome! I'm glad you finally got some sunshine! Yeah... I'm a sucker for the rapeseed neon yellow colour. I just love it when it blooms and all the sheep are out... it completes me somehow.  [smiley=heart.gif] Just getting that view while driving along with the coast and the little villages along it just blows my mind. I swear, on days like today, Northumberland is the most beautiful place on earth. Not that I am biased or anything.  :P I'd still love to come up to your neck of the woods!

Sooo gorgeous here! Flung all of the windows open and spent the day scrubbing the house from top to bottom! Nothing like sunshine on clean windows and floors!

Well it's not rainy (yet) and the sun kind of peeps its head out every so often- :)

So... I managed to take my tire off my bike, replace the tube, pump it back up, check the old tube for leaks, patch that as a spare, put the tire back on my bike and go for a bike ride along the Caledonian Canal.

And hang tons of laundry outside to dry.
