We went for a walk around our area and sat in a pub beer garden for a while with some nice cold drinks!  Perfection!

Yeah, I'm told today in Amble the high will be 14-15 C, and it feels pretty cool at the minute, but I'm holding out hope for a warmer day. I even wore my sandals to work. Let's hope that wasn't a mistake!  :-\\\\

Same here.  But the temperature shock isn't too bad- we've only been getting around 18-22 C, so its not too drastic.  But its definitely rainy again.  We haven't gotten much sun at all.

I've still got my igloo built up here in the north pole  ;D

Another slight sunburn here!  Not too bad & I don't mind.  :)

Mr MLG is going to get stuff for Pimm's so we can hang out in the garden.

Yeah, we were going to do that too, except Morrisons was sold out of Pimms and we didn't feel like driving all over town to find some.  However, I saw that you had trouble getting ahold of strawberries.  We had strawberries, but no Pimms.  Had to settle for beer & cider instead  ;), and ate our strawberries with some single cream later on.

We sat outside in the garden until the sun was gone yesterday - it was so amazingly gorgeous!  DH said - 'You really look good.'  I said - 'That's because I'm a summer gal, I wear this weather the best, and it suits my clothes.'  8)  (Now can we please just move to Spain already?!)

Cooler now so errands on the schedule for today (DH is off today too!).  I think the weather is turning to crap again, probably tomorrow - but as we'll be back at work then, it will take some of the sting out of it.  :P

I've still got my igloo built up here in the north pole  ;D

It's supposed to be 23c/73F in Derby today and rain tomorrow...I best get the laundry done whilst I can!

Yesterday was warm though (relatively speaking) 27c/81F and I was a bit uncomfortable. DD didn't do well with the heat, she's only 2...but DH was complaining it wasn't hot enough...just wait till he gets a Summer in Nor California at 110 average, he'll eat those words.

I got a slight sunburn on Saturday.

As you know, we had the Pimms but no strawberries, but went ahead and made Pimms anyhow. Next time, we should pool resources!  :P :-*

It was too hot for me yesterday - I had to stay inside for most of the day because every time I stood up I felt nauseous! I'm pretty sure it was just the sudden heat rather than the temperature because I've never had that problem before.

But we had THE most amazing sunset over Tower Bridge last night, and then we had our first outdoor film of the summer - Spies Like Us. :) We usually do it every Sunday night in the summertime, with all the neighbours voting and bringing their dinner and wine round, but it's been too cold to start thus far!
Summer 97 - first visited friends in London
99-00 - studied at Uni of Sussex on exchange
Feb 02 - moved to London on BUNAC

Sep 04 - WP renewed
Sep 06 - WP renewed again (screwed by 4-5 year ILR change)
Sep 07 - ILR!
March 09 - Citizenship!
July 09 - bone marrow transplant :(
18 Sep 10 - wedding!
Mar 12 - half marathon in Paris! 1:47:12!
Oct 12 - Amsterdam FULL marathon! 3:48:23!

Went for a walk in the park and tried to visit the chickens, who were already asleep, as Mr MLG came home late from work last night.

I've got sunburn too!  [smiley=blush.gif] So many glorious days, I've been spending every free minute outdoors and I haven't been on here much.  Make hay, as the saying goes!
